The 76th annual Primetime Emmy Awards took place on Sunday night and one star was so glammed up they were almost unrecognisable.

Taking to the red carpet in a skintight red mini dress, showing off her large prosthetic breasts, derriere and head-to-toe body art, a popular drag queen had many believing she was a guest who’d undergone extreme cosmetic surgery.

Posing for photos with her plumped-up red lips and sleek black bob, it was soon revealed that the mysterious person was none other than RuPaul’s Drag Race contestant Plane Jane.

The 26-year-old reality TV star, whose birth name is Andrew Vladimir Dunayevskiy, shot to fame on season 16 of the talent competition, which aired in January this year.

She soon became known for being the season ‘villain’ due to her unsolicited opinions and critiques that other Drag Race contestants interpreted as condescending, with reports suggesting it’s a role Plane Jane leaned in to.

Many fans took to social media to share their opinions on the star’s bold red carpet look, with some shocked at the drag queen’s look.

Ms_mora.realtor said: ‘I can’t believe this is what “beauty” looks like in 2024’.

Another, just.roxx, added: ‘It’s a shame how people butcher their perfect bodies.’

‘It’s so funny and also upsetting no one gets that this is an iconic drag queen in her best camp costume! Let her EAT’, lnshivers said.

However, others were more than impressed with Plane Jane’s attire. Joshuwajimer wrote: ‘I like do not understand how this is happening. Like my brain is not processing this…ITS SEAMLESS’.

While dina_marie1313 wrote: ‘These comments from people who don’t know who Plane Jane is are hysterical she’s a drag queen and it’s all prosthetics’.

RuPaul’s Drag Race was nominated for eight Emmy Awards this year, including outstanding reality competition program and outstanding casing for a reality program.

Despite the most recent season earning 514 million social views, and earning the title of the show’s ‘most social season’ ever, it missed out on taking home any Emmys.

Plane Jane is no stranger to a bold look and even embraced her inner Chappell Roan-inspired at the MTV VMAs last week.

Wearing the popstar’s signature red hair, white foundation and bright blue eyeshadow, Plane Jane wore a bedazzled pink cowgirl hat and pink corset complete with a lacy bra, in what she said was an ‘homage’ to the popstar’s hit song, Pink Pony Club ensemble.

Speaking to Out Magazine at the event, the drag queen, who has 335,000 Instagram followers, said she decided to dress up at Chappell because she wanted to redeem herself among the 26-year-old singer’s fans and prove that she is ‘one of them’.

‘I’m obsessed with Chappell Roan, I live, breath and inject Chappell Roan straight into my veins,’ she said’ ‘I’m just here repping, repping the queen and of course, giving it my little big boobie twist’
