When grabbing a coffee, iced chai, or PSL on the go, many of us will head to Starbucks or Costa for our caffeine fix.

But there’s another spot in the UK that you might want to consider next time you’re craving a drink as some claim it’s ‘better’ than the other chains.

US coffee and doughnut chain, Dunkin’ currently has 28 locations across the UK and is said to be working on an ‘aggressive extension plan’ that will double its number of shops by 2025.

And if you’re keen to give it a try — in locations such as London, Sheffield, Manchester, Wigan, and Liverpool — you’re in luck as the quick service company is about to launch a brand new menu.

Known as Dunkin’ AF (All Fall), the autumnal menu features coffee icons such as the Pumpkin Spiced Latte which is a fan-favourite, and a brand new Matcha Pistachio Latte, both of which are available hot or iced.

The latter is described as a ‘deliciously creamy blend’ that will ‘make your taste buds dance with delight’. Dunkin’ adds: ‘It’s a totally new, totally green, and totally delicious drink that’s as good for your Instagram feed as it is for your taste buds. Trust us, this one’s going to be a game-changer.’

As well as the new drinks, there are also three seasonal doughnuts (or donuts as Dunkin’ would say…) including a Candy Apple, Pumpkin Spiced Ring, and Chocolate and Pistachio Pie, which is a twist on the chain’s best-selling Hazelnut Pie option.

Still not convinced to give the new menu a try? On X (formerly Twitter) fans of the chain have been raving about it, with @chaseonaux saying: ‘Dunkin’ is definitely better than Starbucks but y’all ain’t ready for that discussion.’

@schmoress agreed, saying: ‘I hate to say it, but Dunkin’ Donuts pumpkin spice is better than Starbucks.’ And @soyjessicamv posted: ‘Growing up is realising that Dunkin’ is better than Starbucks.’

Over on Dunkin’s Instagram, commenters hailed the PSL ‘amazing’, their ‘favourite’ drink, and said they were ‘ecstatic’ over the return of the flavour.

Christopher Rodaway, head of marketing at Dunkin’ UK, said: ‘We’re all about bringing joy to our customers, and what better way to do that than with the flavours of fall?

‘We’re so excited to bring back our Pumpkin Spiced Latte for the second year, and we can’t wait for everyone to try our new Matcha Pistachio Latte and fall donut collection. Whether you’re a pumpkin spice fan or looking for something new to love, we’ve got something special for you this season!’

The new Dunkin’ AF menu launches in stores across the UK from Monday, September 9. Doughnuts cost £2.90 each in London and £2.50 in the North, with boxes of six for £10. And if you visit on the 12 day of a month, you can take advantage of ‘Dozen Day’ with 12 for £12.

This comes after a number of other chains in the UK switched up their menus this week, including McDonald’s and Subway.

Maccies brought back its Philly Cheese Stack, which has been hailed as the ‘best’ burger they’ve ever sold, as well as the Chicken Big Mac. There are also Twix and Galaxy McFlurries, and a new Twix Caramel Latte joining the line-up.

At Subway, there are four new products being launched, including the return of a fan-favourite item that was discontinued in 2019.

Known as the ‘Wild & Mild’ menu, the sandwich chain is launching a new Furious Chicken Signature Sub, which is stuffed with Rotisserie-style chicken, crispy waffle fries, American-style cheese, lettuce, cucumbers, red peppers, red onions, spicy jalapenos and finished off with a blend of Garlic & Herb and X-Spicy Chipotle Southwest sauces.

If heat isn’t for you, then there’s always the Signature Series Steak Texicana that combines Philly steak, melted peppered and American-style cheeses, lettuce, tomatoes, red peppers, red onions and jalapenos, with a blend of Subway’s Chipotle Southwest and BBQ sauces.

And to really make your meal pack a punch, you can order it on Jalapeno Cheese Bread, which is returning to the menu in the UK for the first time since 2019.

Fans of the bread have previously proclaimed the bread ‘tasty as hell’, ‘delicious’, and ‘awesome’ in posts on Reddit.

Other new menu items include the X-Spicy Nacho Chicken which will be added to the Saver Subs options, featuring Nacho Chicken Bites, melted American-style cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, and X-Spicy Chipotle Southwest sauce.

And for the first time ever, a ham and cheese toastie is joining the Saver Subs line-up, filled with ham, melted American-style cheese and that Chipotle Southwest Sauce.
