Two young girls were among six killed in a horrific fireball crash at a village in West Yorkshire on Sunday afternoon.

Shannen Morgan, 30, Shane Roller, 33, and their two children Lillie, four, and nine-year-old Rubie have been named by police as the victims of the crash, which also killed two people on a motorcycle just outside the village of Newmillerdam.

The couple’s eldest daughter, who has been named locally as 11-year-old Poppie, has now been left without parents or siblings after losing ‘her entire world in an instant’.

Police described the collision as an ‘absolutely tragic incident’ and called for witnesses to come forward with dash-cam footage.

They added they are not yet in a position to name the motorcyclist and pillion passenger.

Footage of the aftermath showed a burnt-out car surrounded by a heavy police presence on the A61 between Wakefield and Barnsley.

It is thought the Ford Focus burst into flames after colliding with the motorbike, and images from the scene show the mangled wreckage of the vehicle lying at the roadside.

Debris, thought to be from the motorbike, can also be seen strewn across the middle of the road.

The fundraiser page said: ‘We are reaching out to you with heavy hearts and a plea for help.

‘On 21st July 2024, a tragic car accident took the lives of Poppie’s entire family – her loving mum, dad, and two little sisters.

‘At just 11 years old, Poppie has lost her whole world in an instant.’

Emergency services were quick to the scene but unable to save the six victims, who were all pronounced dead.
