While Roy Cropper (David Neilson) has been out of prison for a few weeks now in Coronation Street, things haven’t really got any easier for him.
Roy was put in prison shortly after Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) went missing. Because the police didn’t believe his very honest statement about helping Lauren out, Roy was sent away and very nearly told he would spend the rest of his life behind bars for a murder he did not commit.
In May, Roy was released due to the police finding evidence that linked Nathan Curtis (Christopher Harper) to be involved with Lauren.
However, we know of course that solicitor Joel Deering (Calum Lill) was responsible for Lauren’s apparent murder and disappearance, but has successfully managed to slip back into the shadows and target other young women.
Sorry, this video isn't available any more.
Back in Weatherfield, you’d think Roy is feeling a lot better but sadly, that isn’t the case.
Before Roy was sent to prison, his friends and family – even Freddie the dog! – were regularly targeted and put in danger as a result of people believing the café owner was secretly an evil man.
Despite the fact Roy never actually did anything wrong, he certainly is struggling to get back to his normal life.
Next week, Yasmeen Nazir (Shelley King), Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher) and Shona Platt (Julia Goulding) all agree they need to come up with a plan to help Roy with his mental health, and get him out of the flat.

In the week, Nina makes out to Evelyn Plummer (Maureen Lipman) that Shona’s called in sick in a bid to get Roy back to work in the café.
When Nina sets off the smoke alarm, Roy finally emerges from his flat and, putting on his pinny, agrees to get back to work.
The plan appears to work – but will this be enough to help Roy feel better?
