With Tom approaching, Belle is quick to evade Charity’s line of questioning, pushing past the Woolpack landlady in the hopes of getting away from her. Tom, meanwhile, is up to no good once again as he makes a phone call to confirm that he wants to interview for a job in Wales, telling the interviewer that Belle would be delighted to move with him.
But with Charity – not to mention Belle’s Mental Health Care co-ordinator Rachel – on to Tom, is the abuser’s reign of terror set to reach its end sooner rather than later?
This comes as Emmerdale fans beg for less ‘misery’ in the soap’s storylines, with Tom’s abuse coming to a head not long after the sudden death of Ethan, the PTSD agony of Charity, the diagnosis of Dawn and Billy’s baby Evan with leukaemia and Bob’s grief at the loss of his teen son earlier this year.

Jai, however, can’t face it and, as he lashes out, he insults Ashley’s memory and storms out. Laurel is devastated and soon afterwards she starts to feel horribly unwell as she collapses to the floor.
Frightened and alone, barely able to move, she’s unable to reach for her phone. Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham), however, comes to her rescue and calls for an ambulance.
And Caleb Miligan (William Ash) finds himself in danger as Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin) puts two and two together about Ethan’s (Emile John) hit and run, with a showdown ensuing between the two in the woods.
But just how will this all pan out?
Emmerdale airs these scenes between Monday, July 1 and Friday, July 5 at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
