Eileen Grimshaw (Sue Cleaver) has been left feeling regretful after long-term lodger Sean Tully (Antony Cotton) and his son Dylan Wilson (Liam McCheyne) moved out of No. 11 Coronation Street.

Sean first moved in with Eileen twenty years ago after arriving in the ITV soap as a friend of her son Todd (then Bruno Langley).

The scenes are currently playing out in episodes of Classic Coronation Street on ITV3 each weekday afternoon.

Having put a roof over his head, Eileen began welcoming a string of lodgers and waifs and strays into her home in a bid to challenge Queer as Folk’s Hazel Tyler.

However, in recent weeks their relationship has soured after learning that Dylan was charged with a knife crime offence.

The teen, alongside his school pal Mason Radcliffe (Luca Toolan), had been bullying neighbour Liam Connor (Charlie Wrenshall) for months.

But the vile acts spiralled beyond online trolling to threatening him with a knife which left him contemplating suicide.

After eventually coming clean to his parents Maria (Samia Longchambon) and Gary Windass (Mikey North), the two reported the lads to the police and PC Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) caught Dylan redhanded with the weapon.

Realising that more trouble could potentially come to her doorstep, Eileen asked Sean to find somewhere else to live.

In tonight’s (17th April) episode, he began packing up an Underworld delivery van with his possessions.

At the café, Eileen confessed she felt guilty for making the lads move out, and even more so when Mary Taylor (Patti Clare) said they had little in the way of furniture.

The conversation was overheard by Maria and Gary, who extended an olive branch out to Sean by offering him a piece of furniture from their second-hand shop.

As father and son settled into their outdated new home at the Weatherfield Precinct, the two shared a sweet moment and looked ahead to the future.
