The Kings are set to be ripped apart in the coming weeks as Angelica (Rebecca Bakes) finally faces her fate in Emmerdale.

Jimmy (Nick Miles) and Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) have been on a mission to protect her at any cost, including Jimmy’s friendship with Bob (Tony Audenshaw).

Angel, meanwhile, has been much more magnanimous about it all and after seeing her dad crying has been accepting of the situation.

Angel’s Youth Justice Worker visited the house to build a clear picture of the kind of person the teenager actually is to share with the court, but it saw Jimmy and Nicola go overboard in trying to impress.

The two parents are hopeful they’ve done what they can for their little girl and to prove that killing Heath by joy riding was completely out of character. Now it’s just a wait to hear how long they have before she’s taken away.

The family is set to be hit with a sledgehammer when they learn that the Youth Justice Worker is recommending Angel for a custodial sentence, and that she’ll be carted off much sooner than hoped. Angel is fragile, terrified, and unprepared for her fate.

But is there a light in the dark in the form of Brenda (Lesley Dunlop)?

She offers to give a witness statement which Nicola knows could make all the difference, having already begged Charles (Kevin Mathurin) for support, which he flatly refused.

But despite the well-meaning promise from Brenda, she misses the deadline to submit the statement, and thus seals Angel’s fate.

Their daughter is being taken away from them, whether they like it or not, and much sooner than expected.
