After 22 years together, Noel Gallagher’s divorce has been finalised and he couldn’t help but make a not-so-subtle dig at his ex-wife Sara MacDonald.
The Oasis star, 56, split from Sara, 52, in January 2023 after growing apart during lockdown and his constant partying causing her to become ‘furious’.
Noel, whose net worth is thought to be roughly $70,000,000 (£55,000,000), is believed to have paid out £20,000,000 in the divorce.
Along with this multi-million-pound split, the couple’s £8million mansion in Hampshire is said to have gone to Sara while the singer has moved into his Maida Vale flat.
It seems Noel isn’t quite ready to let bygones be bygones as he confessed he cycles up to his exes’ London home just to taunt her.
On Matt Morgan’s Podcast, the Wonderwall hitmaker quipped: ‘I can get on the bike and go… outside my wonderful ex-wife’s house and give her a little wave, and go, “You didn’t take this from me!”.’
After the split, Noel relocated into a £2,500-a-night suite at swanky hotel Claridge’s in Mayfair and reportedly had a ‘proper good time.’
‘I lived there for most of last year, I was there three or four nights a week,’ the High Flying Birds frontman added.
While living it up at the hotel, he seems to have found himself a new girlfriend too who he was spotted with in Paris in November, alongside a group of friends.
The woman, named Sally, is even thought to have been introduced to Noel’s daughter Anaïs, 23, who he shares with his first wife Meg Mathews.
Noel also has sons Donovan, 16, and Sonny, 13, who he shares with Sara and keeps mainly out of the spotlight.
Despite his turbulent year, he said he’s really enjoying the ‘pace’ of London life and added: ‘I’m loving it’.
He is still pushing for a reunion with his estranged brother Liam, 51, after Oasis had a bitter split but thinks the band would likely be ‘cancelled’ immediately.
‘Timing is everything. Even if we were to come back now, it would be just like a heritage kind of thing. It could never be the same,’ Noel shared.
‘It would be like the Sex Pistols. We wouldn’t be this massive thing with Radio 1 playing it constantly. You’d be underground.’
