Five men and a woman have been arrested after two people were stabbed to death in separate incidents in London last night.
One of the victims was found bleeding heavily from stab wounds on the platform at Strawberry Hill railway station, in the capital’s south-west, shortly before midnight on Monday.
A male in his 20s, he was attended to by paramedics at the scene but could not be saved.
A murder investigation was launched, leading to the arrest of four suspects who remained in custody on Tuesday morning.
Shortly before day broke the morning after the incident, another man was stabbed in south-east London.
An air ambulance was dispatched to the scene, on the Old Kent Road, shortly after 7am.
Efforts were made to save the victim but he was pronounced dead around 20 minutes later.
One man and one woman were arrested in connection with the incident and remained in custody on Tuesday, while the crime scene was cordoned off.

The identity of the second victim is not known, and enquiries are being made to find out who he was.
It was not immediately clear if any more suspects are wanted in connection with either incident.
DCI Sam Blackburn of British Transport Police (BTP), which is handling the Strawberry Hill murder case, branded it a ‘senseless act of violence’.
The station was closed on Tuesday in order to avoid hampering the investigation.
BTP and the Metropolitan Police, which is leading the Old Kent Road murder case, are both appealing for anyone with information on either stabbing to come forward.
