I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! viewers seem to have predicted Fred Sirieix’s ‘game plan’ in the jungle, and they’re not too happy about it.
The First Dates star, 51, has managed to survive the first two eliminations, with Frankie Dettori and Nella Rose being booted out of the camp in recent days, however, it appears he’s tipped to go next.
Fred stands at odds of 5/4 to leave next, ahead of Nick Pickard at 6/4 and Marvin Humes – who was at risk yesterday – at 4/1.
Nicola McGeady of Ladbrokes said: ‘Fred’s bossy behaviour has become a recipe for disaster and he is the new favourite to be sent packing.’
While he’s been saved from the votes so far, Fred has also missed out on being voted in by the public for any trials, with the likes of Nigel Farage and Tony Bellew taking them on instead.
Who is tipped to win I'm A Celebrity 2023?
Fred, at odds of 5/4 for the next celebrity to be eliminated, is followed by Nick at 6/4, Marvin at 4/1, Danielle Harold at 6/1 and Nigel Farage at 20/1.
Meanwhile, Sam Thompson is tipped to win, according to Ladbrokes, with the odds standing at:
- Sam Thompson – 5/6
- Tony Bellew – 3/1
- Josie Gibson – 4/1
- Nigel Farage – 10/1
- Danielle Harold – 33/1
- Marvin Humes – 50/1
- Fred Sirieix – 66/1
- Nick Pickard – 66/1
However, enough was enough on Monday’s episode, when the maitre’d finally put his foot down and offered himself to take on the next challenge.
The stars were all given the opportunity to put themselves forward, but before anyone else could say another word or make a group decision, Fred stood up and declared: ‘I will go.’
‘I haven’t done one yet so I’m going,’ he continued.
‘I’m going to go, I want to go because I’m going to do my best and bring the stars and bring dinner back home,’ he went on, saying there was no need for anyone else to stand up and suggest themselves.
‘That’s the decision, if everyone agrees that I’m going then we’re done.’
Speaking in the bush telegraph, soap star Nick said: ‘I don’t think Fred is having anyone else do it today, from his perspective it’s like he’s not done anything, but doing the trials is your way of really contributing to the group, and he’s grabbed the bull by both horns.’
While Marvin also put his name forward, Fred had made his intentions clear and urged: ‘Look, can I just say, this camp has been very equal, it’s only fair I go, so if you want me to go just say, can you vote for me? I am delighted, thank you.’
As Marvin’s suggested was snubbed by Fred, Tony added: ‘Fred’s been wanting to prove himself for a while now.’
And viewers seem to have worked out his game plan, with one saying: ‘I knew Fred was p****d about not being chosen for the trial yesterday. He’s desperate to get some more screen time, especially as he’s not camp chef.’
Another wrote: ‘I honestly think fred is worried about getting voted off, frankie left bc of not having screen time and i think he’s worried.’
‘Fred gunning for that twenty five per cent of screen time,’ someone else penned.
Others supported Fred in opting to do the trial, with one saying: ‘Surely most people would be happy if someone volunteered for a trial. It’s just because it’s Fred that said he wants to do it.’
Someone else echoed: ‘Fred has the one thing he was doing to help the camp taken from him. Just let him do a trial and feel he’s contributing.’
Elsewhere, Nick’s girlfriend Sarah hit back at accusations her partner is playing a game.
Speaking to Lorraine Kelly on Tuesday, she explained: ‘I don’t know if some people might think he has a game plan, and that was his whole game but he’s absolutely not.

‘He’s just being completely himself.’
She added that the reason he comes across as quiet on the show is because he isn’t fighting for attention, adding that he’ll ‘be getting along and having a good laugh with everyone’.
While he managed to score nearly a full house of stars, Fred was later accused of ‘making [Nella’s] life hell’.
After their huge falling out just days into filming, Nella seethed: ‘‘Fred has been making my life hell for a long time and I’ve been trying to keep my mouth shut and I feel like karma is a b***h.’
The comment came as a shock to some viewers, with one writing: ‘Was Fred making Nella’s life hell when he was keeping her fed? Or when he was supporting her through trials? Make it make sense.’
Another said: ‘I hate Nella biting but cannot see how Fred has made her life hell. That is a strong statement, although they have had their disagreements.’
‘HOW HAS FRED MADE YOUR LIFE HELL NELLA?’ enquired a third person.
