Matthew Perry’s loved ones have been seen at a cemetery for his funeral, saying their final goodbyes six days after his death.
The Chandler Bing actor’s death shocked the world earlier this week when he was found at his home, aged 54.
Perry is thought to have drowned in his jacuzzi at his Los Angeles home.
However, the initial results of his autopsy were ‘inconclusive’, and so the official conclusion regarding his cause of death – including the toxicology report – may not be determined for weeks.
On Friday, November 2, friends and family of the Friends star gathered at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles’ Hollywood Hills neighborhood.
His father, John Bennett Perry, and stepfather, Keith Morrison, were photographed arriving at the funeral burial site.
His Friends co-stars Courteney Cox and Jennifer Aniston were also seen arriving together with security guards.
Joining them were David Schwimmer and Lisa Kudrow, who were spotted in an aerial paparazzi shot.
Shortly after Perry’s death, eyewitnesses spotted his surviving siblings, his mother, Suzanne Perry, and her husband at Forest Lawn, appearing to make arrangements.
No further details of the ceremony have been shared.
The cemetery where Perry’s service was held is the final resting place of many other stars.
A-listers including Michael Jackson, Elizabeth Taylor, Carrie Fisher, and Paul Walker, have all been buried there.
What’s more, the Hollywood Hills Memorial Park is opposite Warner Bros. studios, which is where Friends was filmed.
This comes after Perry’s loved ones chose to honour him in a brilliant way.
Perry was very open about his substance abuse issues, spending $9million on his efforts to get sober and going into rehab 15 times.
He spoke about his experiences publicly in a bid to help others, and now his lasting legacy will be The Matthew Perry Foundation.
A statement posted on the new charity’s website said today: ‘The Matthew Perry Foundation is the realisation of [his] enduring commitment to helping others struggling with the disease of addiction.’
The statement continued: ‘It will honour his legacy and be guided by his own words and experiences and driven by his passion for making a difference in as many lives as possible.’
Meanwhile, his Friends cast members expressed their heartache over their loss in a joint statement on Monday.
‘We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just cast mates. We are a family,’ they said in the statement sent to People.
‘There is so much to say, but right now we’re going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss.
‘In time we will say more, as and when we are able. For now, our thoughts and our love are with Matty’s family, his friends, and everyone who loved him around the world.’
The outlet said that the message was signed by Aniston, Cox, Kudrow, LeBlanc and Schwimmer.
