Katherine Ryan knows what it is to be a busy mum of three – and sometimes that means allowing your kids to wreak havoc at home.

The 39-year-old comedian gave her followers a tour of her kids’ bathroom, revealing the hectic mess within.

‘The kids’ bathroom is stunning,’ she captioned the picture, shared on her Instagram Stories.

The bathroom is one her three children have definitely made their own, with toys in disarray, toilet roll ‘artfully’ all over the floor with various children’s products for bathtime packed onto shelves – AKA every parents’ bathroom.

She has three kids – daughter Violet, 13, from a previous relationship, and one-year-old Frederick and newborn Fenna Grace with husband Bobby Kootstra, who was arrived in December, so her hands are too full to stress over a little mess.

She’s been sharing her relatable parenting journey over the past number of weeks with her followers, including the scarier moments.

The busy mum recently experienced a bout of stress when she managed to get locked out of her home with her newborn baby inside.

The Taskmaster star made headlines when she shared CCTV footage of the moment she realised she had become locked outside with her 18-month-old son while her baby daughter Fenna was sleeping inside.

She explained that everything had worked out well and she was eventually able to get back inside to her daughter, who was perfectly fine, and now says she did so in part to let other mums who have been through the same thing to ‘feel seen.’

In the new episode of her Telling Everybody Everything Podcast, Katherine told the full story of how she became locked out, and it was a case of everything going wrong at once, but that she was able to get back inside within 10 minutes where her newborn was fine.

‘She was sleeping and in a safe place, and I could see her through the window.’

Katherine’s followers praised her for speaking out about the incident that is every parent’s worst nightmare.

‘You shouldn’t be ashamed of what happened or to share either… we’re all human and have all done things like this at some point in our lives,’ said one commenter.

Another joked Katherine’s regaling of the story was ‘better than almost all telly,’ adding: ‘You’re the best.’
