Ever since its launch on November 12, 2019 in the US, Disney Plus has taken the world by storm, introducing viewers to acclaimed content including The Mandalorian, WandaVision and more.
Today, Disney Plus Day is due to take place, an event that will not only celebrate the TV series and films that fans already know and love, but will also reveal some clues about what’s going to come out in the near future.
Later this month, the latest Marvel Cinematic Universe show is set to come out, as Jeremy Renner and Hailee Steinfeld join forces in Hawkeye as Clint Barton and his new protégé Kate Bishop.
Meanwhile, at the end of the year, Star Wars fans can’t wait to see Temuera Morrison’s Boba Fett back in action in his eponymous spin-off, the trailer for which was recently released.
So what can you expect from Disney Plus Day? Here’s all you need to know.
What is Disney Plus Day?
This year marks the very first time that Disney Plus Day is taking place, on Friday November 12.
For fans of Disney Plus content, it sounds like it’s going to be an absolute bonanza.
In addition to being a day of global celebration for the streaming platform, which launched in November 2019, the event will also see the company announce more titles that are going to be released in due course.
Plus, to mark the occasion, several TV series and films have been made available to watch on the platform from today.
There’s a grand total of 17 content premieres for Disney Plus Day, including Marvel’s Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings, Billie Eilish’s concert documentary, Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt’s Jungle Cruise and new drama Dopesick, starring Michael Keaton.
Furthermore, Enchanted starring Amy Adams is now available to watch, in addition to a new series of shorts called Olaf presents.
Throughout November and December, Disney Plus in the UK is set to launch a new series or film every single week, from Hawkeye coming out at the end of this month to Encanto coming out on Christmas Eve.

Being Disney, the details of the new releases being announced are of course being kept under wraps.
Nonetheless, the firm has teased what fans can expect, revealing that when the festivities for Disney Plus Day start later today, it will include first looks, trailers and exclusives clips for content coming from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic and Star.
Plus, there may be a few special appearances from stars as well.
