Attention all Friends superfans! There’s a company that’s actually offering to pay you to sit and watch the show.
Ahead of the show’s reunion special filming next month, University ranking website Best Value Schools has announced that they’re looking for five people to join their team for a new project, which literally just involves watching Friends and posting on social media about it.
For a not-too-shabby $1,000 (£725) the five candidates will have to put their feet up on the sofa and relive the first five seasons of their favourite show.
From Ross and Rachel’s first kiss to ‘London Baby!’ and the battle for the Geller Cup – so many classic Friends moments to devour.
Unfortunately there’s also The One With The Invitation in season four – which was voted the worst episode of the lot – and a whole load of easter eggs and errors for them to spot.
Once they’re done, the fans have to rank the episodes and post their conclusions online.
It’s 44 hours 39 minutes of work, all episodes in, so why not earn some money for something you would probably be doing for free anyway?
Unfortunately, as with all good things, it comes with a catch – volunteers have to be living in the US in order to apply.
You will also need to be over 18 and be active on social media.
Winners will be given a Friends TV show watching kit to make the most of their new job – including a mug, a T-shirt, a blanket to get cosy under, and the entire box set.
This is pretty much the dream way to spend lockdown so why not give it a go if you can?
To apply head to the website, explain on the application why you should be picked, and wait to hear back.
Good luck!
Friends is available on HBO Max in the US and Netflix in the UK.
