Successfully coordinate the teams in the billing department to run efficiently and effectively.
Teams include; Patient Accounts Representative, Patient Accounts Biller, and Patient Accounts Collector Position will work at our Atwater Administration Office, schedule is Monday – Friday, from 8:00am – 5:00pm.
Compensation: $73,798.
40 - $78,964.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Demonstrates effective communication and problem-skills.
Supervision of assigned teams daily functions and productivity.
Monitors, coordinates and implements procedures to follow up on unpaid/delinquent third party, Medi-Cal, Medicare, CHDP, EAPC and other third party carriers.
Monitors and implements procedures to follow-up on unpaid and delinquent self pay patient’s accounts.
Reviews aged trial balance reports, pending claim reports and assign to appropriate senior collector.
Monitors and coordinates patient statement processing cycle for all clinics.
Review and correct credit balances initiated by collection report.
Perform supervisory duties including staff timekeeping review and editing.
Transmit electronic claims to all payers daily.
Work close with the teams so all their duties are completed on a daily basis.
Perform monthly, closing, and balancing no later than the first week of each month.
Work very close with the FOS to coordinate efficiency and accuracy of the departments.
Coordinate with credentialing department to make sure providers are contracted with payers for billing purposes.
Verify that the BIF requests are being corrected before the closing of end month.
Collaborate with Site Administrators, Billing Director & Billing Management on a monthly basis to make sure necessary changes and develop a corrective action to improve processes.

Qualifications KNOWLEDGE OF: RVS, ICD-9 and CPT coding.
Proficient in knowledge of Medi-Cal, Medicare, and third party billing and collections.
SKILLS: Analytical and problem solving skills.
ABILITY: Supervising ability and good communication skills, to firmly enforce patient collections policies while maintaining a polite, professional attitude.
Physical Demands The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
Education/Experience Requirements High school diploma/equivalent required Three or more years of experience in medical billing and collections.
Supervisory experience preferred.
Associates Degree in Health Information Technology preferred.
