Apply Today! Job Summary and Qualifications Under the supervision and direction of the Controller, the Financial Analyst is responsible for performing routine accounting functions that directly impact the organization's financial performance.
Certain of these tasks are the sole responsibility of the Financial Analyst, while others provide assistance to the Controller and other members of the Accounting Team in the accomplishment of overall departmental and hospital goals.
In this position, you will: Prepare numerous journal entries that form the basis of the monthly financial closing process Monitors status and accuracy of monthly statistical reporting process and identifies discrepancies and directs Accountants in the resolution, thereof.
Responsible for routine, monthly financial reports, as well as ad hoc reports (Reports are extracted from a multitude of source systems) Performs monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts to ensure the integrity of financial statement reporting Performs other related duties as assigned by the Controller &/or Chief Financial Officer What qualifications you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance Experience in Mainframe and PC-based reporting systems preferred 2 years or more of Accounting experience, in a healthcare setting preferred Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen, Texas has been serving the Rio Grande Valley for more than 30 years.

Our Women’s Services include L&D and a 30+ bed NICU.
We also have an entire children’s hospital within our main facility to care for the children in our community.
We work with the Texas Transplant Institute, which serves local patients in need of organ, tissue or stem cell transplants.
