University of Nebraska-Lincoln, April 21-23, 2017
KUMUNU (named for its participating institutions: the University of Kansas, University of Missouri–Columbia, and University of Nebraska–Lincoln) is an annual mathematics conference in the Great Plains region. The 2017 KUMUNU Conference will be held at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, April 22-23, in conjunction with the Howard Rowlee Lecture. The 2017 Rowlee Lecture will be given on Friday, April 21, by Professor Marta Lewicka of the University of Pittsburgh. During the subsequent weekend, the KUMUNU Conference will bring together eminent and junior researchers to discuss recent advances in theoretical and numerical analysis of nonlinear partial differential equations (PDEs).
Registration
All Conference attendees must register online by March 31, 2017. The Conference registration fee will be $20 for students/postdocs and $30 for faculty. These fees will be collected on site during on the first day of the conference.
Financial Support
This Conference is generously supported by the National Science Foundation grant DMS-1658793.
There will be limited funds available to partially defray travel and lodging expenses of Conference Participants, especially Graduate Students, Postdocs, and Early Career Mathematicians. These funds will be given out on a rolling basis, with preference given to more junior mathematicians. In order to qualify for reimbursement, please make sure to carefully read and complete the TRAVEL AND LODGING Section of the online registration form.
Any Student or Postdoc who is requesting support should also send the local organizers George Avalos and Daniel Toundykov a brief email which explains the relevance of the Conference to her or his area of research.

In addition to the invited and plenary lectures, there will be a Poster Session, to be held on Saturday 6:15-7:30 pm, in Nebraska Union, Heritage Room. Graduate Students, Postdocs, and Assistant Professors who would like to present a poster are encouraged to apply. Please make sure that you select the YES box in the POSTER SESSION section of the online registration form and subsequently submit a title and abstract.Location

Air Travel
The University of Nebraska-Lincoln is accessible from the Lincoln Municipal Airport (LNK), located approximately 4 miles from the UNL and the Courtyard Marriott Hotel, and the Omaha Eppley Airfield (OMA), which is about 1 hour away.International participants should book their tickets with a US Airline or an airline of a country that has an air travel agreement with the US.
