Our latest pair of #O3bmPOWER satellites has successfully launched into space! 🚀🛰️🛰️ Our seventh and eighth O3b mPOWER spacecraft are joining the six already in operation, strengthening our second-gen #MEO system to continue delivering high-throughput, low-latency services at scale. By adding satellites to our O3b mPOWER constellation, we exponentially increase the capacity and efficiency of our network. Our thoughts are with all those impacted by the earthquake in Vanuatu, devastating many buildings and provoking large-scale damages to the communication infrastructures. Together with Digicel Vanuatu, we’ve been helping over the last few days to restore critical communications for the impacted communities. Through the connection established via our medium-Earth-orbit (MEO) satellites, we are enabling international calls for the local population to keep in touch with their close ones.

Following the recent IRIS² Contract signature with the European Commission and ESA, #SpaceRISE will host an Info Day in February 2025 to update the industry and potential subcontractors on the project’s status, and present opportunities for new companies to join the IRIS² programme.
