Wrapping up the UN Climate Change Conference (COP29 Azerbaijan) in Baku, which provided crucial updates on climate finance: 🔹Africa needs $1.3 trillion annually to tackle climate challenges, yet COP29 commitments raised funding from $100 billion to just $300 billion by 2035. 🔹With 17 of the 20 most climate-vulnerable countries located in #Africa, the urgency is undeniable. 🔹#Article6 advancements in global carbon markets create an opportunity to mobilize private capital. Public funding alone can’t meet the challenge. Private capital, backed by innovative investment models like patient capital, is key to bridging the gap and driving climate resilience.
