We are thrilled to celebrate the incredible achievements of over 100 participants who completed the IT and English courses under the Diridaruwo Project with NIBM, the Techno Entrepreneurship course under the Diriliya Project with NIBM, and trainers certified as Training Specialists under the RISE Program. On 4th December, these talented individuals received their certificates at a special ceremony held at the NIBM Auditorium in Kurunegala. These programs mark a significant milestone in our efforts to empower communities through Hela’s Social Capital Projects. The Diridaruwo Project, a Tesco-supported initiative with Berendina’s assistance, provides scholarships for employees’ children. The Diriliya Project focuses on fostering entrepreneurship within Hela, while the RISE Program, developed by the RISE Foundation, enhances employees’ soft skills. The event was made even more special by the presence of representatives from Tesco, Berendina, and NIBM, alongside Hela Management, program beneficiaries, and trainers. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the certificate recipients and a big thank you to everyone who contributed to making this milestone possible. Together, we are building brighter futures and stronger communities!

At Hela, we are committed to fostering a culture that prioritizes mental health and wellbeing, supporting our teams both at work and beyond. In honour of World Mental Health Day, Hela’s team of counsellors hosted a series of impactful awareness and creative therapy sessions across our manufacturing facilities and head office. These sessions were designed not just to raise awareness but to equip our employees with practical tools to manage stress, build resilience, and initiate open, stigma-free conversations about mental health. Through these sessions, we take proactive steps to ensure every team member feels supported and heard. By prioritizing mental health, we are investing in the well-being of our people and in the long-term success of our organization. A healthier, happier workforce is the key to driving creativity, productivity, and innovation—qualities that are essential to Hela’s continued growth and success. #MentalHealthMatters #wehearyou #yourwellbeingmatters #supportoneanother #onehela #ApiHela
