OSEAC Government Officials Programme – Puttalam On 22 November 2024, the OSEAC Government Officials Programme on Online Sexual Exploitation and Abuse of Children (OSEAC) was successfully conducted in Puttalam, with the participation of 58 government officials. Attendees included Grama Niladharis, Early Childhood Development Officers, District Women Development Officers, District NCPA Officers, and representatives from five Divisional Secretariats (Karuwelagaswewa, Pallama, Anamaduwa, Mahakumbukkadawala, and Mundalama). The training, facilitated by resource person Mrs. Shiromi Samarakoon, aimed to enhance understanding of OSEAC and equip participants with the tools to address online child exploitation. Advancing Education through Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) in Sri Lanka  From 12th–13th November 2024, ChildFund Sri Lanka, in partnership with the Ministry of Education and the National Institute of Education, hosted a SEL workshop.  With 26 participants, including senior officials from key educational institutions, the workshop focused on defining SEL within Sri Lanka's context and developing a framework for integrating it into the primary education curriculum.  Over two days, participants assessed the current SEL landscape, identifying strengths, areas for growth, and actionable steps to nurture the emotional and social well-being of Sri Lankan students.  A heartfelt thank you to all participants for their commitment to shaping a brighter future for education in Sri Lanka!  #ChildFundSriLanka #Education #SocialEmotionalLearning #FutureOfEducation
