    I was part of the pioneer group of Directors that helped set up the NGO and kickstart the various projects. KiMAP is affiliated with Every Child Counts US and receives its funding and direction from their Board. We currently have projects running in four sites that is Waitua Primary in Muranga, Kisawayi and Napara Primary in Western and Kanjeru Primary in Kiambu County.

We currently have projects running in four sites that is Waitua Primary in Muranga, Kisawayi and Napara Primary in Western and Kanjeru Primary in Kiambu County.
    KiMAP is focused on the school feeding program and seeks to ensure all needy pupils have a nourishing meal at least once a day while attending school.
    So far KiMAP and ECC have constructed modern kitchens for Kanjeru and Waitua Primary, modern latrines for Napara and Kisawayi and are in the process of constructing a special needs classroom block at Kanjeru. We have supported the Waitua Primary school feeding program since 2019.

    I am a member of the Board at Tanari Trust sitting in the Programs and HR Committees. Tanari Trust runs the Rights of Passage (ROPES) program that helps transition teenagers to young adulthood. Tanari also runs a team building and camping facility in Sagana open to corporates and individuals.

Superfund was set up in compliance with the Cooperative Societies Act to separate investment activities from mainstream Savings and Credit Societies. Superfund has grown astronomically both in membership and asset base. Superfund enjoys rental income from various properties it has invested in over the last six years. As chairman, my role is to steer the management committee in achieving the objectives of the Society.

    This article examined the level of preparedness for disaster in Kenya in the light of several incidences such as terror attacks, collapsing building, fires and the like. The article went ahead to give a brief synopsis of Business Continuity Management as per the leading standard BS25999. The article was based on the successful MBA Thesis by the writer written for The University of Nairobi in 2008
