    The Connected Kenya Summit is a National ICT thought leadership forum initiated in 2009 by the Ministry of ICT and implemented by the ICT Authority, in collaboration with partners from the private and public sector. The main objective of the event is to bring the sector leaders together and provide a platform for them to meet, share experiences and exchange ideas on how ICT can catalyze economic and social transformation through better public service to citizens.

    Developed and rolled out founder experience for Kenya’s tech ecosystem in a monthly series Founder Fridays and SME club that

    Led the successful growth of a community brand for Metta, a spin off of Hong Kong’s Nest by leveraging a monthly speaker innovation series on innovation dubbed #WhatsNext supported its expansion to South Africa, New York, London, and Hong Kong. Now on its 33rd run.

    Co-led the set up of Metta, Nairobi, a node of Nest network. Grew the community from scratch by 1000% at a recurring stream of 22-30 events monthly.


    Consultancy with Startups and Hubs in January 2017, helped Sure Remit raise 7.5 million before their ICO closed with social media and targetted outreach.

    250 participants raced in knockout heats over a grueling 1 mile sand course with steep man-made sand dunes (built to look like sand castles) making it one of the most unique, and brutal middle distance races in the world.
    The race featured both men and women categories, and runners will compete in heats, with the first 50% of the finishers advancing to the semifinals.

    In the launch of university chapters we (Social Edge Africa) worked with Marketing Students Association and Business Information Students Association, both of University of Nairobi. In the pilot phase we shall combine efforts with the marketing, PR and IT clubs in the proposed universities. The pilot is proposed to take place in 4 universities around Nairobi in November namely; Kenyatta University,  Strathmore University, USIU Africa, Multimedia University before the roll out in January 2013 to other universities & campuses across Kenya.
