READ MORE BELOW. #IkoKaziKE 💼Position: WASH Officer 📍Location: Garissa 🔗Link: https://bit.ly/3VISUCy ⏰Apply Before: 12/24/2024, 11:07 AM ROLE PURPOSE Be responsible for the design, implementation, follow up and evaluation of WASH and infrastructure construction and rehabilitation in communities targeted by Save the Children in the region of Garissa/Wajir - KENYA Country Office. The post is specifically oriented towards the WASH emergency response in the context of the crisis HoA Drought Response, and special attention will be made on the integration of the WASH sector in other core sector of Save The Children such as nutrition, food security, health, education and child protection. In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.

Our partnership with the County government of Garissa is proud to launch a transformative skills-based training program for 40 youth from various sub-counties across the region. With the support from Save the Children Italia under the Enterprise-Based TVET (EBTVET) program, these young leaders will gain practical skills and values to shape their futures and create lasting change in their communities. #YouthEmpowerment #SkillsForLife

In Aloley, Mbalambala, Garissa, a pastoral community is rewriting their story. Once defined by livestock, they are now embracing agriculture through sustainable solutions. Thanks to rehabilitated boreholes powered by solar pumps, funded by USAID - Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance, water now irrigates community vegetable farms and supports domestic use. With support from Save the Children Italia, Save the Children Kenya is equipping the community with seeds, tools, and climate-smart farming skills.
