Mum Gladys N. Osoro listened to a radio program where my mentor and Coach Irene Mureithi was explaining how we need more than just books and academic certificates to succeed in life. She made a decision to sponsor me through the form four leavers program at Personal Development Institute PDI called Life Boot Camp in early 2011, now it is called Secret Brilliance. We were in the pioneer class. The other form four leavers and I, didn’t quite understand what our parents and guardians had signed us up for. As we would later learn, this was a 12 week program training us on everything school had never taught us and never will. We were taken through DISC Assessment as well as the ‘wheel of life’ which entails Emotional Intelligence, Spiritual Intelligence, Financial Literacy, Leadership & Strategic Planning, Social Intelligence, Fun & Recreation, Health & Wellness, Self awareness and Career & Entrepreneurship based on Biblical teachings. I got all this and more at Personal Development Institute 13 years ago, and I am testifying. At the end of the program we were totally transformed. I made a handwoven mat and sold it for income. A few months later I joined campus, fired with a lot of confidence. I ran for class representative in undergraduate. Soon I hit the runway as a beauty pageantry model. I bought my first laptop with cash earned as a beauty model😊. I learnt the art of online writing which also supplemented my upkeep through campus. I am an advocate of the High Court of Kenya, a Commissioner for Oath, A certified professional Mediator (Accredited by the Mediation Accreditation Committee for court annexed mediation ), with more than 5years post admission experience. What I learned at PDI - Secret Brilliance for form 4 leavers has always been with me. Applying the knowledge practically in my day to day life. Currently I am employed and still running my own law firm Gesare Ondieki & Co. Advocates, I use my online presence to share legal knowledge with more than 20K + followers on TikTok. More than 90% of my clients are a connection through my online platform. I do a lot of Civic Education as well on different forums. I am a better Christian whose intentional about following Christ and having a relationship with him. I am a mother to two wonderful children and wife to an amazing and supportive partner. Personal Development Institute prepared me for a world I had been sheltered from all my life. As I go through life now, my solid foundation dates back 13 years ago. I made many decisions during my banking career. One such decision that paid off big time is joining Personal Development Institute (PDI). In the time since my banking days, I have continued to invest in my personal development through different programs including PDI. One thing I have appreciated is the all-round development. If you have ever used the Wheel of Life, you have an idea of what that might look like. More recently, that has meant diving even deeper into the Financial part of that wheel. As has always been the case, the PDI team believes in giving value and in recent days I have benefited from hearing and learning from Captains of Industry who are not just talk but have consistently implemented what they have shared.
