Day 2 of KibokoDAO Youth Month: Where Blockchain Meets Fun and Innovation! Day 2 of Kiboko Dao Youth Month at the University of Nairobi was a mix of Technical blockchain brilliance and good vibes. With Aziz Mohammed, as the MC, at the helm, attendees dove headfirst into the world of blockchain technology, leaving with their minds buzzing and their curiosity piqued. The morning kicked off with a technical masterclass led by Bratipah Kioko (She/her) , a Lisk Ambassador. Her hands-on session on building & deploying smart contracts on Lisk was spot on. Equipping devs with necessary technical skills to build on the platform. The day’s project showcases were nothing short of extraordinary: - One Million Avocados (OMA): Kevin D. Nyakaru wowed the crowd with his vision of tokenizing not one but 1M avocado trees in East Africa. With every tree minted on the blockchain and RTK devices to locate them, farmers gain access to credit, markets, and new revenue streams - carbon credits. Who knew avocados could pack so much tech punch? - Yellow Card App : Florence Githinji brought the fintech fire, highlighting Yellow Card’s seamless on/off-ramp solutions and Yellow Pay’s ability to send money across Africa. Its cross-border payments are simple and powerful. - The AquaPurge Project : Suleiman Aziz introduced this revolutionary initiative cleaning up our oceans while rewarding participants with blockchain-backed incentives. Sustainability just got smarter! - Africa Blockchain youth ambassadors : David Dext inspired with a vision for youth empowerment through blockchain education, proving the next wave of blockchain innovators is already rising. The panel session, led by the ever-charming Esther Kendi , kept things lively with discussions on real-world blockchain applications and personal Web3 journeys. Ndabari Thuku reminded everyone that blockchain projects should speak the people’s language, while the days mantra “Web3 is the future” echoed throughout. Brave ambassadors spiced things up with giveaways and privacy-focused tech that left everyone impressed.
