🌱 Celebrating Kimwaki: A BIOSORRA Farmer Champion! 🌱 Meet Kimwaki, a remarkable farmer who has transformed his coffee farming journey with the innovative use of BIOSORRA's Biochar Bora. By integrating this sustainable soil amendment into his agricultural practices, Kimwaki has successfully duplicated his coffee berry yield, resulting in a 50% increase in income while using the same branches! ☕💰 For years, Kimwaki faced challenges typical of many smallholder farmers—struggling with soil health and inconsistent yields. Until he met with BIOSORRA and started to apply #BiocharBora, Kimwaki has not only improved the fertility of his soil massively to allow him more and more productivity. This eco-friendly approach has allowed him to cultivate healthier coffee plants that yield more berries, significantly boosting his income without the need for additional resources. 🌍✨ ☘️Today, Kimwaki stands as a beacon of hope and innovation in his community, embodying the spirit of sustainability and resilience. He is not just a #BiocharBora farmer; he is an #AmbassadorChampion for sustainable agriculture and a steward of the land, actively promoting practices that restore soil health and enhance food security. 🐾 Join us in celebrating Kimwaki’s inspiring journey and the impact of BIOSORRA's Biochar Bora on farmers' lives. Together, we can foster a future where sustainable practices lead to thriving communities and healthier ecosystems. 💥Shoutout to Pace Able Foundation for making this posible! #BiocharBora #FarmersStories #SustainableFarming #RegenerativeAgriculture #ClimateSmartAgriculture #FarmingTips #SoilHealth

Thank you Simon Bager, PhD for the great explanation on CO2 removal that is physical, tangible and measurable 🧬 Glad to be partners with Klimate.co 🌱 #biocharbora #bcr #carbonremoval
It’s sometimes difficult to wrap our minds around big numbers and units–like a the billions of tonnes required to fight climate change. 🔍 That’s why site visits like our recent visit to our partners at BIOSORRA are so powerful. Seeing the project site in person provides a tangible example of what it really means to remove a tonne of carbon. It’s no longer just "air" or an abstract concept—it’s something real, physical, and measurable. 📊 👉 Carbon removal is a massive physical undertaking, and experiences like this remind us of the scale of the challenge, but also the incredible progress being made. Hear more about this from Simon on a recent site visit while in Kenya in the video below. And, you can read more about Biosorra’s biochar solution here: https://lnkd.in/djdcNxFp

Originally from Barcelona, I’m devastated as Spain suffers tragic floods, #DANA, leaving so far couple hundreds of lives lost in Valencia (with other 1000+ lost people), and impacts in Andalucia, Castilla-La Mancha, and Catalonia’s coast. A painful reminder of the floods that we experienced in Kenya this May 2024. Our company, BIOSORRA, is working over the clock to remove carbon while restoring soils dreaming on #preventing catastrophes such as these. But the speed of climate devastation is outpacing what we can handle as a human beings and obviously as a startup alone. The reality is, we don’t need to live it to believe it. Science is obvious. We shall coalite and empty our pockets #NOW: funding institutions, corporates, governments (Spain please step up!), infrastructure engineering #adaptation and #mitigation measures, enforced regulations, more innovators and more investors: Let’s get focused - No future will exist if we don’t take care of our planet and people. There’s no point in losing more innocent lives. And it is actually a lot cheaper to invest now than later. If we #mitigate more, there won’t be a need of #adapting solutions to prevent ourselves from loss and damage implications. The humanity and resilience shown these days from Spanish citizens gives me hope. Farmers give me hope. My team gives me hope, seeing people working towards addressing climate or trying to, gives me hope, the younger generation and common sense gives me hope, seeing corporates hiring for Sustainability roles, gives me hope. Our carbon removal partners Milkywire, AirMiners, Klimate.co give me hope. Joining the best Biochar community at International Biochar Initiative gives me hope. Working with Circular Bionutrient Economy Network and Cornell University gives me hope. Being inspired by my fellows and supported by Mulago, RESPOND, Pace Able Foundation, Keeling Curve Foundation, gives me hope. We still need more. Massively more and urgently soon. On our end, we won’t stop. #letswakeup! #climatedoesntwait

Some BTS moments from our recent collaboration with BIOSORRA. Featuring the A-team: Ines Serra Baucells , Purity Chomba, Ian Kanyi and the amazing BioChar Bora champions(farmers) As an organization, we believe that our partners’ stories deserve to be told—loudly, proudly, and authentically. In this digital era, where attention is fleeting and impact matters, sharing the journey behind the mission can inspire change far beyond the work itself. That’s why we have made it our mission to support our partners in telling their stories. Whether it’s documenting a breakthrough moment, a personal triumph, or showcasing the day-to-day work that transforms communities, we stand alongside them to amplify their voices. Why? Because stories shape our world. They connect us, inspire us, and create movements. And when organizations own their stories, they build trust, credibility, and lasting impact. Let’s shape the future, one story at a time. ✨ #StorytellingForImpact #PaceAbleFoundation #PartneringForChange
