[Kawasaki and Three Other Engineering Firms Sign Agreement for Liquefied Hydrogen Supply Chain FEED] Toyo Engineering Corporation, Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd., JGC Corporation, and Chiyoda Corporation have signed a joint venture agreement to enhance the front-end engineering design (FEED) execution for a liquefied hydrogen supply chain in development by Japan Suiso Energy, Ltd. With Kawasaki as leader, the four companies will execute the required FEED aiming to realize a demonstration of commercial operations for hydrogen liquefaction facilities, onshore liquefied hydrogen storage tanks, export terminal facilities for large liquefied hydrogen carriers, and related facilities at the liquefaction and export terminal in Hastings, Victoria, Australia. [TOYO Awarded Acetylene Black Project in Thailand] Toyo Engineering Corporation (TOYO) has been awarded engineering and procurement contract of Acetylene Black project by Denka SCGC Advanced Materials Co., Ltd., a joint venture company of Denka Company Limited (Denka) and SCG Chemicals Public Company Limited (SCGC). Acetylene Black is a type of carbon black with excellent conductivity, mainly used for applications such as EV lithium-ion batteries and high-voltage transmission cables for offshore wind power generation, which contributes to lower emission of carbon dioxide. TOYO's proposal for an optimal design and procurement plan that would enable early completion of the project and extensive project experience in Thailand was highly evaluated and led to the contract award. Toyo Engineering Corporation (TOYO) has been awarded a licensing and equipment supply contract for a fertilizer plant of PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja Palembang (Pusri) in the Palembang District of South Sumatra from WUHUAN ENGINERING CO., LTD. (“Wuhuan”) in China. TOYO will provide its urea license and the process design package as a Urea Licensor as well as the proprietary equipment. TOYO’s advanced urea synthesis technology ACES21® will be applied in this project, and the plant will be designed to be compatible with TOYO’s most advanced urea synthesis technology, ACES21-LP® for the first time. Both technologies will contribute to low-cost urea production and global environmental conservation. TOYO has constructed more than 100 urea plants. [TOYO Awarded Energy Efficiency Study Using HERO-First HERO Projects in Thailand] Toyo Engineering Corporation (TOYO) has been awarded energy efficiency study contracts for the modernization of an existing large-scale aromatics plant and phenol plant from PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited (GC). TOYO provides a facility-modification plan through the study using TOYO’s own optimization technology, Hybrid Energy system Re-Optimization (HERO) to improve the energy efficiency of GC’s existing plant. The feasibility study which TOYO already completed for the aromatics plant shows ・Reduction of steam consumption: approximately 20% ・Reduction of CO2 emissions: approximately 55,000 tons per year (=3200 round trip flights between Haneda and Fukuoka) TOYO will continuously provide new opportunities via its own technology towards a sustainable society. https://lnkd.in/g99ZAPkq
