🚨 NTT's Top Five Cybersecurity Trends for 2025 have arrived! 🚨 As we head into 2025, cybersecurity challenges are set to intensify. AI-driven cyber threats will surge, with attackers leveraging generative AI and deepfakes for more sophisticated attacks. Defenders will need to adopt AI-powered threat detection to keep up. Meanwhile, geopolitical tensions, particularly in the Asia-Pacific, will drive complex cyber warfare, targeting critical infrastructure. Supply chain vulnerabilities will continue to be exploited by attackers, as weak links in global networks remain prime targets. Global cybercrime looks set to spike due to an increase in collaboration and expansion between nation-state cybercrime groups. Finally, rising consumer protection regulations will demand more transparency, especially for products with embedded tech. Read all the insights from our experts: Mihoko Matsubara (NTT's Chief Cybersecurity Strategist), John Petrie (Counselor to the NTT Global CISO), David Beabout (CISO at NTT Security Holdings), Taro Manabe (NTT Security Japan, Senior Manager, Professional Service Division) and, Itaru Kamiya (Senior Researcher, NTT CERT). 👇 #Cybersecurity #AI #NTT #CyberThreats

🚨 P-Wave of Malicious Code Signing 🚨 Many malware and malicious files are code-signed due to readily available code-signing certificate sellers. Security Researchers, Yuta Sawabe & Rintaro Koike, presented research at Virus Bulletin 2024 in Dublin that examined these sellers, who test certificates by signing benign software and uploading it to malware scanning services. This proactive testing happens before any malicious use. By analyzing these files, they predicted future abuse cases, offering a strategy against code-signed malware. This knowledge empowers SOCs, IRs, CSIRTs, and other security professionals to take proactive measures against code-signed threats. 🛡️ Watch the full recording of their research below! 👇 #cybersecurity #threatintelligence #threatresearch
