Interested organizations should review the Joint Accreditation Framework that summarizes all the components of Joint Accreditation. Once the Framework is reviewed and if still interested, the applicant team should contact Joint Organization to schedule an initial conference call with Joint Accreditation staff. The call will serve to answer any questions from the applicant’s team and for staff to inquire about the applicant’s program with respect to interprofessional continuing education. Thereafter, the applicant may initiate the review process jointly managed by ACCME, ACPE and ANCC.

The review process takes approximately 12 months and includes:
If a provider withdraws from the joint accreditation process and/or is not successful, the provider will have one year to seek accreditation directly through each individual accrediting body as desired.
