We have released a year-end trading update which shows revenues and AUM/A ahead of our numbers and underlying EBITDA fractionally below. The results are broadly in line with market expectations, however the substantial revenue beat of £2m/ 25% more than the £8m total revenues we had forecast for FY24E can only, in context, mean that the International distribution strategy is working. With full year audited results early next year we believe we are likely to see International AUA growth which surpasses our projections, with those assets soon to be profitably managed by TEAM itself, rather than by third-party fund managers. First, let’s consider the proposed abolition of non-dom status. I do not believe that the Treasury fully understands the repercussions of removing that status. The flight risk and potential lower tax take is real. This status is one of the oldest in the UK, originally created to allow London to be an international trading centre and the principle has allowed the US Goldman Sachs banker to live and work here facing only US inheritance tax and contributing to the UK economy.
