I recently had the pleasure to review the newly released Azure Cookbook (https://a.co/d/aFWIrls) written by Marco Obinu and Massimo Bonanni, and published by BPB. I really like the structure of this book! Within each chapter, you get a good overview of the services and features to be covered, followed by a clear expectation of which "recipes" (what you will accomplish) are covered. Each "recipe" has a great overview that sets the scene and gives an understanding of why you might want to follow it, followed by easy-to-follow steps to do so. What I love about these kinds of "cookbook"-style books is that you can dip in and out of the areas of the book you care about without losing any value: just get what you want, put the book down, and come back later when you need something else. This book is no exception; it quickly gets straight to the point but also covers some less commonly known aspects and best practices. The "Chef's tips" at the end of each recipe are little nuggets of gold that should definitely be "digested" (see what I did there? I'll see myself out...). Whether you're newer to Microsoft Azure or you have more experience and would like a great quick reference guide, this is a book I'd recommend having to hand. In short, I have yet to find a perfect solution, but I discovered how to group all Entra VMs of a resource group or a subscription. Maybe that is also helpful for some others - so let me share it: https://lnkd.in/ehM-zwjn PS: If someone knows how to configure a local setting on a VM (registry, file) with an attribute (string) synced to the Entra device object - let me know. 🙏
