Monitoring this dynamic is crucial for brands aiming to dominate their categories. 🏆 Take Caffè Borbone, for instance—an exceptional example of stability as the undisputed leader in both coffee pods and capsules categories in Italy throughout the entire month of October. ❓Meanwhile, Lavazza, a giant in the coffee world, surprisingly falls short of appearing in the top rankings. Notably, very few brands manage to maintain a stable position between paid and organic visibility. One standout performer in this regard is GIMOKA GROUP, which has demonstrated consistent visibility across both formats. Measuring ad performance with AdAttributionKit the new attribution iOS framework for privacy-preserving ad attribution introduced by Apple WWDC24. AdAttributionKit supports re-engagement, click-through attribution (including support for custom creative). When an app installation or re-engagement occurs, advertisers and developers (if they’re opted in) can receive a postback within 24-48 hours of a user launching the app. Up to three postbacks will be sent to the developer and the winning ad network in the 35 days following an app download for the advertised app. A postback is sent to up to five ad networks, so they can understand when an ad they presented qualified for attribution but didn’t win. I think I've heard this before 🤣 🤣 Literally SKAN 4.0 attribution framework. Various approaches from retail media networks and third-party providers add complexity, especially when focusing on incremental sales measurement to determine true ROI. ➡ Standardization Challenge Evolving Measurement: To sustain investment levels and growth rates in retail media spending, measurement practices must continue to evolve. While creating a unified set of requirements is challenging, progress is being made, particularly with the IAB's Retail Media Measurement Guidelines released in September 2023. Kroger's Initiative: Kroger is set to launch an updated measurement model in Q4 2024. This model will utilize first-party customer data to break down sales data and apply a tailored methodology for measuring incrementality. Exciting to see such progress. ➡ Collaboration is Key Partnerships: Collaboration between advertisers and retail media networks is essential to ensure that measurement methodologies meet advertiser requirements. Retailers transparency on their methology will continue to be critical. Ecom Brands: 10 Common Data Issues We Come Across 1/ Attribution Missteps Relying on outdated MTA tools or last/first touch attribution instead of contribution and incrementality models. This can lead to wasted ad spend. Start with simple geolift (MMT) and hold-out tests to measure incrementality. Understand that not all channels can be tracked w/ click-based tools. 2/ Pixel Problems Incorrect, duplicative, or missing ad pixels lead to inaccurate data collection. Audit your pixels monthly for accuracy. GA, Meta, Google, TikTok, Affiliate platforms, etc. 3/ Server-side Tracking Not using server-side tracking, resulting in signal loss and hindering ad optimization. You can be losing 20-30% of your conversions w/o proper SS setup. 4/ Excel Hell & Reporting Inefficiencies Manual and infrequent updating of reports, often trapped in spreadsheets. Automate common reports. Even basic KPIs updated daily for the team will be a big win. 5/ Product Catalogs are Stale Bloated or incorrect product feeds with outdated information and mismatched pixel data. Audit your catalogs frequently. Segment your feeds. Setup alerts.
