After the first talk at Forum Ital(IA) last March, in April we had the honour to participate in the second digital talk organised by FPA - FORUM PA - A DIGITAL360 Company and Microsoft, “Solutions and practical applications of generative AI in support of local PA”, dedicated to generative AI and its impact on Italian Public Administration.​​ Addressed to the representatives of regions, local authorities and health system structures, the event aimed to present generative AI-based tools and their benefits in several fields of application. These areas include the optimisation of work organisation, the increase of individual productivity, the improvement of decision-making processes through territorial data analysis, and the digital transformation of citizen services.​​ GDMH CEO Alfredo Cesario highlighted the transformative potential of automation in DTx (Digital Therapeutics), illustrating how AI-based solutions are revolutionising healthcare and treatment outcomes. AI in Business: A Holistic Transformation. I had the opportunity to attend the 2024 Festival Città Impresa in Bergamo where industry leaders such as Alessandra Benedetti (Spare Parts and Service Director, Head of Digital Transformation at SCM Group), Fabio De Ferrari (COO, Revo Insurance), and researchers Roberto Sala and Gabriele Torri from the University of Bergamo shared insights on how AI is transforming the insurance and manufacturing sectors through LLMs and NLP. Accenture’s Disruption Index reports that AI has had a 50% impact on the insurance industry. Revo Insurance, for example, has significantly reduced processing times by leveraging AI-driven automation while in manufacturing, SCM Group uses AI to automate processes like invoice matching, predictive maintenance across 3000 machines, and improve access to 70 years of technical data through NLP. A core observation is that technology alone isn’t enough. For AI to be effective, organizations must focus on agile team structures, AI literacy and strong data management practices. Leaders need to embrace a startup mindset and develop fluency in data science and Python to fully harness AI’s potential and drive rapid business transformation.

Interesting talk and more interesting discussion with prof. Bugliesi on the forthcoming era of AGI. The dawn of AGI is a fact and it is close enough to be witnessed as it is happening. Complete (almost) AGI level will be reached before 2030. Neuromorphic computing will be available in few locations initially and serve millions of human beings. Super AGI will immediately follow.
