Thanks to Italian Tech Week I was able to hear every single work of Sam Altman (co-founder and CEO of OpenAI) and here are my main takeaways: ↗ Unexpected changes in OpenAI:  Sam Altman faced challenges at the Italian Tech Week, including the unexpected departure of Mira Murati and two key researchers from OpenAI, following the exit of Ilya Sutskever and a sabbatical taken by Greg Brockman. ↗ What’s next in OpenAI? Altman addressed rumors about OpenAI transitioning to a for-profit model, emphasizing it wasn't true but had been considered by the board. Altman and John Elkann discussed AI's integration into automotive technology, highlighting the recent advancements in ChatGPT's voice capabilities. ↗ What about the energy?  Altman expressed optimism about future energy sources, including nuclear fission and fusion, envisioning a world with abundant, low-cost energy and enhanced quality of life. ↗ And here is a portion of motivation from Sam:  He noted the slow development cycles in tech, using ChatGPT's evolution as an example, emphasizing that significant breakthroughs require time, dedication, and a willingness to tackle high-risk projects. #italiantechweek #itw2024 #openai

    Trends in recruitment and labor market in 2024 Who will be in charge - candidates or employers? Which recruiters will have the easiest time closing job openings in 2024? I will try to give my point of view on those topics. 💡 Top 3 trends in 2024 1. Recruiters will begin to integrate strategies from other industries: marketing, copywriting, communications, IT, into their usual recruitment processes. 2. Creativity in selection process will not go separately from analytics. Nothing should be done for nothing: you should not just come up with new approaches, but also understand what results they lead to. 3. Recruiters need to learn how to work with AI technologies. And this is not only ChatGPT, but also Perplexity, Bard, Bing Chat. But at the same time, it is obligatory to develop communication skills: the more artificial intelligence in recruitment, the more valuable is quality communication and the principle from person to person. 💡 What will the labor market become: employers or candidates? It depends on the industry. There are a number of areas where the need for skilled professionals will grow and the market will be on the candidates' side: - Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning - Hardware Development - Integrated Circuits and Microprocessors - Cybersecurity - Cloud Development - Big Data and data analysis - IOT (Internet of Things) - VR & AR But traditional software production, standard web development and some areas of outsourcing will see a decline in the need for developers. Demand will equal offer. The market will be closer to employers. 💡 Will it become more difficult to close job openings in 2024? And if it will, why? Rather, it depends not on vacancies, but on those who will fill them. It is no longer possible to live by the principle: "You just have to work more". It's about the number of hours spent, but about methods and techniques. It will be much easier to close jobs if you continue to expand your network of contacts, participate in networking events for recruiters, attend events and pump up your communication skills. In addition, it will be easier for those who can flexibly approach their responsibilities. And be sure to master the possibilities of artificial intelligence! It will not replace human communication and creative skills, but it will help you process large amounts of information faster and automate processes that now take up a large number of working hours.
