By integrating #sustainability into the supplier engagement process, STIGA aims to realise a more responsible #supplychain. So far that has meant requesting all of our materials suppliers to sign or show alignment with our Code of Ethics. And in 2023 we set out to do more: we enrolled 87% of our top 100 spending suppliers on the Sedex platform, above and beyond our initial goal of 50%. Sedex is a platform that helps us better understand the ESG risks of our suppliers by getting insights through a questionnaire on topics from human rights to environmental impacts. In the coming year, we will use this information to complete audits and have more proactive conversations with our suppliers. We are proud to announce that our Autonomous Robot has been selected by the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy to represent the #Agritech sector of the prestigious exhibition "Italy of Patents: Inventions and Successful Innovations." Organised by the MIMIT to celebrate two significant milestones – 140 years since the founding of the Italian Patent and Trademark Office and 550 years since the publication of the first Patent Statute – the exhibition, which opened in Rome on November 18, showcases the landscape of the most impactful industrial inventions from both the present and the past, ranging from patents related to mobility and infrastructure to those in renewable energy, agriculture, the sea, space, and manufacturing industries. It is both a great source of satisfaction and an honour for us at STIGA to be part of this project, which celebrates Italian ongoing drive for innovation. The inclusion of our #Robot is a meaningful recognition of our continuous commitment to technological innovation and product quality – for a more sustainable and technologically advanced future in garden care! Until March 2025, visitors can admire over 100 patents & inventions at the Ministry's headquarters (Palazzo Piacentini, Via Veneto 33 – Rome).
