The Taliban's resurgence in Afghanistan is intensifying security concerns across South Asia, impacting nations like India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and beyond. With renewed ties to groups like Al-Qaeda, the Taliban's influence threatens to bolster radical organizations and separatist movements, especially along porous borders with strong ethnic connections. The Afghanistan-Pakistan nexus further complicates regional stability, potentially empowering militant organizations. Additionally, alliances between Taliban factions and terrorist groups in Kashmir could increase the flow of recruits and weapons, worsening the security landscape. A new study will explore India's role in promoting peace in the region and examine how New Delhi is recalibrating its strategy on Afghanistan amidst these rising threats.
