An interactive digital health platform that empowers individuals with diabetes and pre-diabetes to prevent complications

About us

The Language of Diabetes is a patient education and directed action program aiming to shine a spotlight on the often-overlooked signs and symptoms of diabetes and pre-diabetes that may indicate disease progression and one or more complications. In a world where more than 1 in 10 people are living with diabetes and pre-diabetes, our initiative is crucial in fostering awareness and promoting early detection of complications, thereby enhancing patient outcomes. Why This Campaign is Needed • Raising Awareness: Regular Blood sugar measurement in addition to symptom checks can provide a comprehensive view of diabetes progression. In India only 16-25% of all people with diabetes regularly self-check their blood sugar levels with glucometers. • Early Detection: Early recognition of subtle signs can prevent or moderate the emergence of diabetes-related complications. It can also help pre-diabetics and those with a family history monitor themselves and take preventative action. • Patient Empowerment: Enrolling in our program educates and empowers patients to understand and respond to the language of diabetes. It gives them a compelling reason to initiate or increase the frequency of self-measurement of their blood glucose levels. Language of Diabetes Program is a part of Obesity International
