This December, the 02 - GBD (Godrej Business District) IT Park Building Terrace Garden, came alive with the spirit of camaraderie and celebration as we hosted Confluence 2024 - a day dedicated to the incredible workforce & their families of the Construction business of Godrej Enterprises Group (GEG). The event commenced with a warm welcome of our guests and an inspiring speech by our Business Head, Mr. Anup Mathew. Highlights included the prestigious Attendance and Kaizen awards, and a mesmerizing 2-hour musical concert by the 'Zero Mile Band.' Employees and their Families enjoyed engaging games, stunning props, and vibrant decor, creating cherished memories. The evening concluded with a delightful dinner, celebrating the strength of more than 900 family members who help make our vision a reality every day. Confluence 2024 was a celebration of teamwork, progress, and the people who build our future. The Construction business of Godrej Enterprises Group was happy to continue its yearly tradition of joining the Lean Conference at the Institute for Lean Construction Excellence (ILCE), this time hosted by IIT Guwahati. This event is a key platform for sharing ideas and turning them into action, reflecting our ongoing dedication to building a smarter and more sustainable future for construction. The conference delved into strategies reshaping the industry: from Takt Planning and Control ensuring smoother timelines to the Last Planner System bringing clarity to workflows, and using Discrete Event Simulation to analyze and refine construction processes. We also explored a bold win-win-win model for ‘Vikas Bharat,’ an ecosystem that places development, people, and sustainability at its core. For us, sustainability is not just a goal - it’s a continuous journey. Our circular economy approach to concrete waste recycling is a step forward in this direction. But the discussions went beyond strategies and systems. Lean Leadership took the spotlight, showcasing how inspiring leadership can drive resilience and transformation across organizations. With topics like Lean Education for the next generation and integrating AI for automating #BIM processes, the conference underscored the synergy between technology and human ingenuity. A special mention to the #ILCE #Lean Maturity Model (ILMM), setting a benchmark for assessing and advancing lean practices in the industry. From large-scale engineering projects to creating safer and smarter construction sites, the ideas exchanged at the conference are paving the way for progress and innovation. We are delighted to announce that the Construction business of the Godrej Enterprises Group (GEG) has won the prestigious ‘Best Poster Award – Design & Development of Disaster Management Structures’ at the Indian Lean Construction Conference (ILCC) 4.0, recently held at Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati Our award-winning poster and technical paper showcased the innovative application of #Construction 3D Printing technology, to develop design prototypes and enable the rapid installation of Disaster Relief Building Structures in India and abroad, highlighting a potential groundbreaking approach to resilience and efficiency. There were more than 20 technical submissions from prominent organizations and academic institutions, including IIT, Larsen & Toubro, AFCONS Infrastructure Limited - A Shapoorji Pallonji Group Company, and KPMG India. This achievement was evaluated by a distinguished jury of senior professors from Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, NIT Srinagar, and NICMAR University .
