Ciena's Go Do Good Month in September: Empowering Youth & Building Brighter Futures Ciena has been helping underprivileged youth since 2022, supporting Udayan Care in setting up three IT & Skill Development Training Centres. These centres provide training in key areas like IT, ITeS, Telecom and Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI), helping young people gain the skills they need to thrive in these sectors and to become self-reliant. This September, as part of Ciena's "Go Do Good Month," more than 40 Ciena employees committed to various volunteering activities. The Ciena employees conducted sessions on interview skills, role of communication, gender sensitization, and email etiquette. Over 220 students from different training centres attended these valuable sessions, equipping themselves for their future careers. Ciena volunteers also visited Udayan Care’s Manesar Skill Development Centre to set up a menstrual hygiene vending machine and led a donation drive at Udayan Ghar, a home for children without parental care. We are truly grateful for Ciena’s incredible support and commitment to giving back. Our students left feeling inspired and empowered to take the next steps toward their goals!
