Is it high time? that the POSH Act demands a gender-inclusive recalibration? There is no specific gender-neutral law addressing sexual harassment against men in the workplace in India But are the existing workplace policies reflecting the same? There is a misconception that harassment is exclusively a women's issue. Does this indicate that men at work don't have a proper outlet to express their concerns, unlike women? What is consent? Do men deserve a better grievance redressal mechanism? While studies indicate a disproportionate prevalence of sexual harassment against women, it's essential to acknowledge that men are also susceptible, highlighting the importance of addressing all forms of harassment to cultivate a safe and healthy work environment for all," she says. "A pivotal measure for organizations is to prioritize inclusivity in formulating their POSH policy. Specifically, the definitions within the policy must encompass all personnel within its purview. When delineating a complainant in the policy, organisations must ensure coverage for all. employees. Instead of adhering to the term 'aggrieved woman' or 'aggrieved man' as stipulated in regulations, the policy should embrace the term. 'Aggrieved person' to broaden its scope and promote gender neutrality," she points out. How can workplaces provide a safer space for men to report sexual abuse? They should adopt innovative methods such as theatres/performances.

💪🟰♥️🟰🇮🇱🟰🇺🇸🟰🇸🇦🟰🇯🇴 When you are in need of help & nobody cares to be there for you or they comment & criticise you unhelpfully, outside to the crisis: it causes a trauma response of hyper independence from people who try to ridicule you, pontificate to you & make baseless accusations & attacks against you & your hyper reactive behaviour as is understandable during a crisis period to prevent you from healing, making the event exponentially more painful for you - so you not only learn how to trust & look after yourself by yourself; you also learn how to do extraordinary things on your own as you begin to heal without interference from the peanut gallery & you stop asking for help that you don’t need - unless it’s absolutely vital or it’s voluntarily offered & is actually helpful. #hyper #independence is a #response to the #traumatic #failure of #teams & #colleagues to be there in your #time of #need as expected of them as #you were #always #there in #theirs. In Truth, competent people can do anything alone, but those who care about the holistic success of the organisation wouldn’t let them. This is also why countries like #Saudi #Arabia, #Jordan & #USA #helped #intercept missiles & drones that #Iran #fired at #Israel: they care.
