A great interview between two of India's leading entrepreneurs. Nikhil Kamath and Nandan Nilekani. They discuss a variety of topics, and their insights are sure to be of interest to anyone who is interested in the future of India and the opportunities for entrepreneurs in the country. It is also a great opportunity to learn more about these two successful entrepreneurs and their views on the future of India. Some of the best moments in this interview to me are 1. When Nandan talks about his time at Infosys. Nandan co-founded Infosys in 1981 and worked there for many years. He talks about the company's early days and how it helped to establish Bangalore as a tech city. 2. When Mr Kamath asks Nandan about the India Stack. The India Stack is a set of open APIs and standards that allow developers to build innovative applications on top of government-provided services. Nandan believes that the India Stack is a great opportunity for entrepreneurs to build new businesses. 3. When Nandan talks about the future of technology. Nandan believes that the future of technology will be driven by artificial intelligence (AI). He also believes that there is a lot of potential for entrepreneurs to develop new technologies that can help India transition to a more sustainable energy economy. 4. This interview of Mr. C. Sivasankaran, one of India's finest thinkers and ace businessmen, by Mr. Raj Shamani, one of my favourite YouTubers, is a great learning resource for all of us. I am thankful to both of them for great interview. I was one of the beneficiaries/ user of Mr. Sivasankaran's Aircel telecom service provider's service. Aircel's very small denomination recharge voucher of Rs.14 for 3 days unlimited internet was poor man's cow to me as we didn't have today's cost effective mobile combo plans at that time. I used to recharge with Rs.14 voucher for unlimited internet, most importantly for downloading big softwares from official websites of Microsoft, Oracle, etc. But unfortunately, Mr. Sankaran's one mistake put my old man's cow to an end. He has discussed that issue here. Apart from that, there are many lessons we can learn from this interview. I am sure that Mr. Sivasankaran's new venture of bio hacking or wellness will make a road to his comeback. All the best to him. Ace thinkers never stop their journeys and they continue to benefit large masses. And this is happening with Mr. C. Sivasankaran too.

Reforms drive productivity Reforms drive waste elimination Reforms drive quality Our stellar performance in GDP was because of reforms Having said that, we still have many dysfunctional policies, systems and processes that are waiting for reforms Only a strong stable government with nationalistic mindset and service orientation will be bold enough to usher reforms Our immediate issue is that our food inflation at 8% is second highest in G20 countries We need to address that urgently with such a high population with not a very enviable per capita #jenamusings

Much awaited Revival of the India IT services sector …seems to be on cards !!! With the Optimistic picture painted by the US Fed chief, the imminent Interest Rate Cut seems to happen ...much sooner than expected. The celebrations in the capital markets have already begun ! Another unexpected event that can auger well for the markets is the likely-hood of Mr Trump winning the presidential elections. If Mr Trump takes the help, there is very high probability for aggressive rate cuts (many) and perhaps even another round of financial stimulus! There are plenty of reasons to believe that Mr Trump will begin his 2nd innings with a big-bang schemes to revive the domestic consumption!   It is incidental that the tariffs imposed by Mr Trump , on the imports (from China) could have been resulted in the High inflation that the US has been facing last 8-10 quarters! It might be that the Domestic industries don’t have the capacities to produce the trade shortfall...leading to high inflation ! It wouldn't be incorrect to say that there aren't any manufacturing industries left in that country to produce .....there by relying purely on the imports !! I believe, post the Tariff war, in the last 3-4 years , the local Manufacturing capacities should have come into effect. And perhaps even the setting up newer supply chains ..bypassing China ! It perhaps took these 4 years for the Trump's tariff-war to yield the desired outcomes !!! In the prospective 2nd term, He may extend this Vitreous-cycle by cutting down the Interest rates and giving those industries a booster dose of Financial incentives. With the Supply side taken care of , the domestic consumption can be revived without affecting on the Inflation!! If Mr. Trump wins , increasingly it seems to be the reality , he would prefer to give more weightage to the domestic priorities , as against the funding for the Ukrin war. With the much awaited Rate Cuts and any additional Financial impetus to the Domestic Manufacturing sectors, It will be a big windfall bounty for the domestic corporates !! An Interest Rate cut , coupled with any Financial stimulus , can induce the required confidence for these Corporates to resume their IT spend !! Indian IT services companies with good exposure to the US market (BFSI, MFG , HiTech sectors) are sure get to benefit alot. !!! Is it the time to bet big on the IT companies ?!

Simplicity of #Indian technology makes it extremely tamper proof, integrated and scaled, a great large democracy process is executed with ease and predictability. Reducing complexity in the solution stack is key to improve #resilience and improve #maintainability. Unfortunately in my job, I see everyone starting with a statement that this is complicated or extremely complex. Key to building successful solution, is to uncomplicate things and bring in #modularity (to do one job really well) and #composability (to be a good team player in a larger ecosystem). Like in an orchestra if you are a good team player, the conductor can create a great symphony.

Recent data indicates that approximately one-third of existing GCCs are expanding their presence within the country, with half aiming to do so within the next five years. This trend is driven by the need for diverse talent and the desire to mitigate risks associated with location concentration. By establishing multiple centers across various regions, companies can tap into a broader talent pool and ensure operational resilience. The impact of this expansion is substantial. GCCs contribute over 1% to India’s GDP and significantly boost service exports. The market size of India’s GCCs is projected to grow from $64.6 billion in fiscal 2024 to between $99 billion and $105 billion by 2030.
