The University Grants Commission (UGC) has released comprehensive guidelines for integrating Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) into higher education curricula, in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. We are pleased to provide a detailed summary to aid institutions in understanding and implementing these guidelines effectively. Key Highlights: 1. Curricular Integration: IKS courses will constitute at least 5% of undergraduate and postgraduate credits, promoting an inclusive and diverse academic environment. 2. Authenticity: Courses will be grounded in historical texts and contemporary sources, ensuring rigorous academic standards. 3. Holistic Learning: Emphasis will be placed on internships, project work, and practical applications within IKS disciplines to enhance experiential learning. 4.
