UGC and AICTE are providing directives for a biannual admission cycle, however, its success and feasibility are now under scrutiny. The ball is in the court of CBSE and other state boards. Once these boards implement biannual examinations, the entire system will become functional. I'm a bit concerned about our readiness to handle so much flexibility after the NEP implementation, CBCS, NCrF, and now biannual admissions, examinations, internships, and placements. Are we truly prepared for these changes?

Today marks the fourth anniversary of the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020, a landmark document that aimed to revolutionize India’s education system. Introduced on July 29, 2020, the NEP 2020 proposed significant changes to enhance the quality of education at all levels and make it more inclusive and accessible. One of the most notable aspects of NEP 2020 is its holistic approach to education. The policy emphasizes the importance of early childhood education, recognizing that the foundational years are critical for cognitive and emotional development. By integrating pre-school education into the formal education framework, NEP 2020 aims to ensure that every child gets a strong start. Another significant change is the restructuring of the school curriculum. The traditional 10+2 system has been replaced with a 5+3+3+4 design, which corresponds to the stages of a child’s cognitive development. This new structure is intended to provide more flexibility and better align with global educational standards. The focus on experiential learning, critical thinking, and creativity over rote memorization is a major shift aimed at fostering well-rounded individuals. NEP 2020 also places a strong emphasis on multilingualism, promoting the use of mother tongue or regional languages as the medium of instruction, especially in the early years of schooling. This move is expected to enhance comprehension and cognitive abilities while preserving cultural heritage. Higher education has also seen transformative proposals under NEP 2020. The policy envisions a more flexible and multidisciplinary approach to higher education, with the introduction of a four-year undergraduate program and multiple exit options. The establishment of the Higher Education Commission of India (HECI) aims to create a more integrated and efficient regulatory framework, replacing the existing fragmented system. #Technologyintegration is another cornerstone of NEP 2020. The policy recognizes the potential of digital tools in enhancing learning experiences and bridging educational gaps. The COVID-19 pandemic underscored the importance of this aspect, as remote learning became a necessity. NEP 2020’s vision of leveraging technology to improve access and quality of education has gained even more relevance in this context. #Inclusivity and #equity are at the heart of NEP 2020. The policy seeks to address disparities in education access and quality, particularly for marginalized and underrepresented groups. Special emphasis is placed on gender parity, support for students with disabilities, and bridging the urban-rural divide. The fourth anniversary of NEP 2020 is not just a milestone but a reminder of the ongoing journey towards an equitable, inclusive, and quality education system for all. Our Students got an opportunity to attended the CII Agri-Conclave in Bangalore for academic exposure to agriculture and food sector trends. The annual event, organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry, brought together policymakers, industry leaders, and researchers to discuss sustainable farming, agri-tech, and food security. The students gained valuable insights from sessions like a keynote on "Sustainable Agriculture: Challenges and Opportunities," which emphasized the need for sustainable farming to combat climate change and resource scarcity. A panel on "Agri-Tech Innovations" highlighted technology's role in enhancing crop yields and reducing losses. Another session on food safety covered regulatory frameworks and quality standards, directly linking to their studies. The panel discussion on "Agri-Tech Innovations: Transforming the Future of Farming" also stood out as an informative session for the students. The panelists included entrepreneurs who had launched successful agri-tech startups, along with researchers working on cutting-edge agricultural technologies. The discussion focused on the role of technology in optimizing crop yields, reducing post-harvest losses, and making farming practices more efficient. Enhancing CSR Impact through Collaboration with Marpu Foundation  Marpu Foundation | NGO  It is easier to mention one aspect of Marpu’s work, which I found rather convincing: education. So, when partnering with Marpu Foundation on educational projects, a business contributes not only to local communities’ development but also to the accomplishment of the global goal set in SDG 4 (Quality Education).      Also, the organization has embraced other causes related to the provision of healthcare in line with the third standard of sustainable development known as Good Health and Well-being (SDG 3). In this way, companies may decide to contribute to financing and implementing the health programs that can deliver medical assistance, teach people about personal and public health, and prevent infections in the regions that need it. For instance, the Marpu’s vaccination campaigns and mobile health clinics have positively impacted marginalized community groups in relation to health needs ultimately contributing to the improvements of communities general health status.     Furthermore, Marpu Foundation falls under the environmental sustainability cluster in the conservation of the environment which relates to the SDG 13 Climate Action and the SDG 15 Life on Land. Thus, the cooperation with Marpu in the environmental projects in the framework of reforestation, sustainable farming, and waste management provides an opportunity for businesses to minimize their negative influence on the environment. Such initiatives also contribute to the improvement of ecosystems and the inhabitants’ resilience to different impacts of climatic change.     In addition, PWA can collaborate with Marpu Foundation on the aspect of women’s employment and gender equality (SDG 5) to promote support through technical skills training, business incubation and advocacy. Companies can collaborate with Marpu for the cause of equal opportunities wherein employment, supply chain management, and females’ economic and social wellbeing can be fostered.     Therefore, it can be said that collaboration with Marpu Foundation enhances CSR initiatives by applying them to multiple SDGs from the list Above, with specific and oriented to the improvement of the community projects. Education, health, environment, and women, all these sectors need prime importance, and such partnerships do not only mean corporate social responsibilities are being met, but development and change on a larger scale is also possible. Thus, it is becoming customary to associate the reputation improvement with the formation of long-term benefits for communities and the environment.
