An interesting perspective is offered in this article. I have always argued for India focussing on #IoT including investing in #sensors research and sensors manufacturing. Soon, a national Sensor hub will be created in India. There is potential for multiple startups in the area of sensors and IoT. We need more National Mission mode programmes for sensors. "Stan Shih, the founder of Taiwan’s Acer Inc., illuminated this phenomenon in the early 1990s when he used the “smile curve” to emphasize where the value is generated in the manufacturing industry. The middle of the smile—the lowest point of value creation—is where the actual manufacturing takes place. The rise of ML and AI will dramatically change data storage practices. DISCOMs need to think from a commercial angle, innovative like telecom service providers catchy line line of Cadbury cricket “ Kuch Khaas hai” Make consumers brand ambassadors make them TV stars, Local hero’s on posters, make them realize their contribution towards carbon reduction, climate change Union power and urban affairs minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Saturday asked Tamil Nadu to develop a policy to incentivise prepaid electricity consumers after the installation of smart meters. This will encourage more people to switch to the prepaid system.
