Are #milksubsidies and #milkpowder #exportsubsidies truly #sustainable solutions? In #Maharashtra, a similar approach was taken six years ago, yet #dairyfarmers find themselves at the same crossroads today. They are now rejecting the ₹35 milk price, even after a ₹5 subsidy as they want minimum Rs 40 per kgs. Moreover, over two-thirds of processors cannot benefit from the export subsidy as they sell fresh category products. So, who are these #subsidies really for? Spend 5 minutes reading an insightful analysis on how history has repeated itself in just six years. The million-dollar question remains: "Can we expect different results by doing the same things under similar circumstances?"

Dilution in moisture norm, addl per/ha subsidy may do its bit in polls. Will Chana (#chickpea) & Mustard (#rapeseed) become next #Soybean is a key issue. Likely rise in Acreage in both crops due to better rates, ample water, elevated edible oil prices may yield bumper output in Mar-Apr. On the other hand, prices of Australian #chana and local markets are hinting at more declines, likely edible oil duty cut, huge NAFED stock or sharp correction in global edible oil mkt may drag #mustard below MSP. Current rates of both crops reasonably attractive for Farmers if they can realize it for their Rabi harvests. Arya.ag, a Noida-based grain commerce platform focused on the #agricultural sector, has received a $19.8 million debt facility guarantee from the (DFC). The funds are allocated to #AryaTech, #Arya.ag’s agri-commerce subsidiary, to support its efforts in connecting farmers and farmer-producer organizations (FPOs) with buyers, expanding its capacity to reach a broader market. The development comes nearly four months after it raised Rs 242.36 crore (approximately $29.2 million) in funding led by existing investors, including Asia Impact and Quona Capital, through Quona Blue Earth and Accion Quona. Enhancing market linkages for farmers and FPOs With this new financial backing, Arya.ag aims to strengthen its market linkage capabilities, providing farmers and FPOs with a secure and transparent platform to engage with buyers across India. The firm has designed an end-to-end service model that encompasses warehousing, financing, and market access directly from the farmgate. This setup is intended to reduce agricultural waste, enhance payment security, and make transactions more transparent, aligning with DFC's objective to support economic development in underserved regions. DFC Vice President of Health and Agribusiness, James Polan, commented on the transaction, saying, “DFC is pleased to support AryaTech in expanding its growing agri-tech platform connecting small farmers and farmer producer organisations to buyers in underserved regions of India. This transaction aligns with our goal of supporting economic growth and prosperity in communities across India.” Arya.ag’s expanding presence across India Currently, Arya.ag operates in 60% of India’s districts, with a warehouse network of over 12,000 locations, where it utilizes technology such as IoT, computer vision, and blockchain to manage inventory and reduce operational risks. The startup claims to store $3 billion worth of grain annually and to have facilitated over $1.5 billion in loan disbursements to smallholder farmers and other stakeholders in the agricultural sector. Start your Wednesday with Fshow Industry News Broadcast 👨‍💼 👩‍💼 👩‍🎓 Field trials results show Nano DAP can increase crop yield up to 27% Data from the field experiments conducted by several reputed Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) institutes and state agricultural universities across the country’s diverse agro-climatic zones have demonstrated that Nano DAP can enhance the yield of crops to the tune of 2.4% to 27% when applied at a recommended dose. This data showcases the unique advantage of Nano DAP in comparison to conventional DAP. The experiments were held in farmers’ fields across India over 3,000 locations, led by a team of Agronomists who have studied the response of Gromor Nano DAP in a spectrum of crops, including rice, wheat, maize, moong, chickpea, red gram, groundnut, cotton, potato, onion, bottle gourd and cabbage, covering the states of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Odisha, West Bengal, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Madya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Punjab. The data depicted that farmers who have started using Nano DAP are convinced with the results and begin to benefit from the Nano fertilizers.
