Hello LinkedIn I participated in LeetCode Weekly Contest 422 and was able to solve the first three questions and secure a global rank of 1857 out of 25000 participants. Any hints for D, as I was checking for the count of characters that can be placed at even and odd indices. As the sum can always be even for making such a permutation. But I was stuck with my approach. This contest will motivate me, as I performed badly in yesterday's CodeForces Round 984 (Div. 3) and will again become a pupil. This is really a shame for me to lose more than 150 ratings. Intuitions for questions: A. Check the sum of characters at the odd index and the even index and return true if they are equal. B. It's a graph-based problem, so we can use something like Dijkstra's algorithm to find the path that will cost us the minimum time. So, use a min-heap with key as pair<time, pair<row, column>> to store the current time that was needed to reach the index {row, column}. Start with {0,0,0} and check for all the fields of the priority queue. Compute all the adjacent coordinates and get the maximum time that it will take to reach that coordinate. The maximum time will be max(time, matrix[nRow][nCol]) + 1. If the time to reach that coordinate is greater than the time we found, then update that coordinate and store it in the priority queue. Return the time required to go to matrix[m-1][n-1]. C. It's the same question as B. We just need to make a small change. We can keep a boolean counter flag to check how many coordinates we have moved. Just do cur + 1 if we have moved two places and update the flag. As a Backend Engineer, I was curious when my mentors suggested I work towards an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Solutions Architect Associate certification. I wondered how it would directly benefit me, given its highly specific focus on AWS tools and infrastructure. But as I began my preparation, it became clear just how relevant it is to my role. The certification tested me on real-life architectures, directly enhancing my system design skills. Building projects utilizing the AWS tools I learnt about allowed me to apply many of the distributed system components hands-on, which I had only known theoretically before. It helped improve my understanding of real-life trade-offs involved in building scalable systems significantly. It was also interesting to see how the design principles I learned were quite transferable to other cloud platforms like GCP and Azure, and even many On-Prem and custom architectures during my work. For any backend engineer looking to boost their system design knowledge and get practical cloud experience, this certification would be quite helpful. For preparation Stéphane Maarek 's course on Udemy, "Ultimate AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate SAA-C03" was the "complete package" for me. #TeaTimeGossips Reflecting back at my Infosys campus placement interviews, all I knew about programming was creating pretty patterns with asterisks using Java, and there are other languages like C++, C and .NET. I didn't know it was a framework. I didn't even know what a framework meant in Software engineering. As such, I was selected with a 3.25LPA package. I regretted not focusing more on mechanical subjects and blamed my extracurricular activities, ironically chosen by me. I had 2 summer internships under my belt that favored the career of my choosing and all was rendered useless in the one I was recruited into. However, 8 years later, I am working in one of the finest companies alongside industry experts, continuously learning and implementing cutting-edge solutions. Truly content with my life and work. Thanks to Infosys, I gained access to the dynamic world of Software engineering, where creativity knows no bounds. Discovering Your Passion: The Value of Exploring Diverse Projects in College In college, it's crucial to explore random projects and diverse domains to discover what genuinely interests you and feels enjoyable. Recently, I spoke with a few juniors who felt uncertain about what to work on. My advice to them was simple: start with anything that sparks your interest. Follow tutorials, YouTube playlists, or courses—any material that helps you build a project. One strategy I found particularly beneficial was adding my own features and optimizations to projects, even when following a tutorial. This approach prevented me from merely copying and ensured I was truly learning and innovating. Hackathons are another fantastic avenue for growth. Regardless of your experience level, participating in hackathons is incredibly valuable. They offer a concentrated period to work intensely on projects, often with friends, making the process both productive and enjoyable. As you participate in more hackathons, you'll improve your skills, generate ideas faster, and gain inspiration from seeing winning projects and meeting their creators. This experience helps you identify your knowledge gaps, which is essential for growth. Reflecting on my college journey, I realized that my biggest mistake wasn't a lack of projects, club participation, or hackathon involvement. Rather, it was failing to showcase my work. Only a handful of friends knew what I was working on, and I missed out on broader recognition and opportunities. Sharing your work with a wider audience is essential. It not only highlights your efforts but also opens doors to potential opportunities that you might otherwise miss. In today's connected world, showcasing your projects can significantly impact your career trajectory. So, dive into diverse projects, participate in hackathons, and don't forget to broadcast your accomplishments. Your future self will thank you.

Hello LinkedIn I participated in LeetCode Weekly Contest 421 and was able to solve A, B, and D and secure a global rank of 675 out of 28000 participants. This is my best performance on LeetCode. Hopefully, I will get a positive delta after so long. But I need to read the question carefully, as I misread the first question's statement that it's mentioned: "at most one.". Intuitions for questions: A. Find the LCM and GCD of the whole array and store their product in the result. Now, iterate over the array, and for each iteration, run a loop and find the LCM and GCD of all the elements except the element "i". Now find the maximum result at each iteration. B. We can store the count of each character (dp). Now, for each iteration, we can find how many different characters the current character would generate. For this, at each iteration, have a frequency count vector (ndp) again and run a loop to check for every 26 characters. For each character, check if that character exists previously, then we can do 2 things. If the current character is 'z', then simply increase the count of ndp[0] and ndp[1]. Else, add the current count to ndp[next_index]. Initialize ndp to dp after each iteration. Finally, count the sum of all the characters and return it. D. This question is a harder version of B. Here, we can find out how many times a particular character can be converted into another character. To do this, we can use a matrix dp of size 26*26. Now, dp[i][j] will be equal to the number of times the character 'i' will be converted to 'j'. The number of times will be determined by the nums array. Now, we have to do this 't' times. So, we can use matrix exponentiation to find the new matrix that will be there after performing 't' transformations. Now, this we found for each character once. So, we can find this for each of the characters that are present in string s. For that,, just multiply the frequency of the Ith character with dp[i][j] and add it to the corresponding result.
