Authentication and access management platform OTPLESS has raised $3.5 million in its pre-Series A funding round led by SIDBI(Small Industries Development Bank of India). Venture Highway, FJ Labs, and Piper Serica joined the firm’s maiden institutional round. OTPless enables users to sign up and sign in on websites and apps via WhatsApp and other methods. This approach simplifies the user process and weeds out the need for OTPs. The startup supports various social sign-in methods, including Google, iMessage, Microsoft, GitHub, Slack, UPI, and modern protocols like Passkeys, Network Auth, Protected SMS, and Device fingerprinting. As per the company, developers can easily integrate OTPless’s SDKs and APIs, going live within minutes using pre-built UIs. Bengaluru-based venture capital firm Stellaris Venture Partners has closed its third India-dedicated fund, raising $300 million, increasing its total assets under management to over $600 million. Abyro Capital Floats $25 Mn Fund To Back India Startups. Abyro Capital said that it will back startups across sectors such as AI, SaaS, healthcare, manufacturing, supply chain, delivery, among others. India and US-focussed venture capital (VC) firm Abyro Capital has launched its maiden $25 Mn (about INR 210 Cr) fund to back early stage technology startups in the two countries. In a statement, the VC firm said that it will look to back 12 to 15 startups, over the course of next four years, across sectors such as artificial intelligence (AI), SaaS, healthcare, manufacturing, supply chain, delivery, among others. Lending Firm "Fibe" raises 90 million dollars in funding led by TR Capital. It is a Pune-based consumer lending startup, that was previously known as EarlySalary. The round saw participation from Hong Kong-based TR Capital which pumped in around $32 million to acquire a mix of secondary and primary shares, along with Trifecta Capital and Amara Partners. Fibe founder Akshay Mehrotra did not comment on the valuation of the company after this deal. People in the know pegged the post-money valuation at more than $500 million. According to data shared by the company, it closed FY24 with revenue of nearly Rs 1,000 crore against Rs 429 crore in FY23. Net profit nearly tripled to around Rs 100 crore from Rs 36 crore. The abolition of #angeltax has opened many doors for #FDI, as well as domestic money. With the removal of difficult tax regulations, domestic and foreign #investors now have more freedom to support Indian #startups. Inflexor Ventures Achieves First Close of Rs 350 Crore Opportunities Fund Inflexor Ventures, a prominent early-stage venture capital firm, has announced the first close of its new Opportunities Fund, targeting a total corpus of Rs 350 crore. The fund reached approximately 80% of its goal with substantial backing from HDFC AMC Select AIF FoF I Scheme, managed by HDFC AMC, as the lead investor. Additional contributions came from high-net-worth individuals, family offices, corporates, and other institutional investors.
