🌟 Had an incredible experience at the Delhi-NCR MongoDB User Group (MUG) Meetup this Saturday! 🌟 A huge shoutout to Aditya Dua, Senior Consulting Engineer at MongoDB, for the invaluable insights on Atlas Search. He delved into how Elasticsearch operates behind the scenes, its pros and cons, and the role of Apache Lucene within Elasticsearch. The workshop on Atlas Search was particularly enlightening, demonstrating its application in real-time projects to enhance search functionality. I’m excited to implement these learnings in my projects and explore this topic further. Equally enriching was the session by Luv Gupta, Engineering Manager at Stealth, who shared his expertise on Generative AI (GenAI). He discussed the workings of AI models, with a focus on the widely-used text-embedding-ada-002 model for vector search in MongoDB. The chatbot demo using this model was particularly impressive and showed the potential of vector search in practical applications. Deepansh Singh from Google Developer Group also provided valuable insights on Vertex AI. His talk highlighted how Vertex AI can be leveraged in our projects and daily life to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
