Publishing of FIPS 203, FIPS 204 and FIPS 205 by National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) can become a serious setback to India's ongoing #NQM drive. Even though the mentioned modules are still undergoing revision and their final software is still not available, still they are published, why so? It seems it is mainly being done to preempt every other development in #PQC. To keep the control and to marginalize every other procedure getting value. Hence, the marketing has commenced. A smart move... But, India will lose a lot by this including the self dependence it was planning through #NQM. Will be forced now to be governed by such policies, when they come in force, even when India had the chance to write such #PQC procedures herself. But it is her own fault. #NQM is moving at such a slow pace that anything like FIPS 203/204/205 can derail it. Narendra Modi govt is seen to be lacking the vision here in this. FIPS 203 and FIPS 204 are Lattice modules and Neural Heights Technologies Private Limited has already presented the key encapsulation mechanism in Lattice through our #basisNuLite with resolutions towards #PQC threat, Shor's Algorithm threat and Grover's Algorithm threat, in one go. The software and even the new hardware designs already shown, yet #NQM is unapproachable for further discussions. So difficult to bell the cat.. 🐈 under such slowness. In a major step toward bridging the digital divide and promoting inclusive growth in rural India, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) announced the launch of the Digital India Common Service Center (DICSC) project. This ambitious initiative aims to establish 4,740 digital service centers nationwide, with Pilibhit and Gorakhpur leading the way. The DICSC project seeks to set up digital access points in gram panchayats across ten districts, bringing essential digital services like e-governance, financial planning, telemedicine, and education to rural citizens. With nearly 2,000 centers planned across Pilibhit and Gorakhpur, this initiative aims to increase economic participation and digital literacy in these areas. Expansion Across Indiaঃ Each DICSC center will be equipped with high-speed broadband connectivity and modern infrastructure to function as a multi-functional service hub. These centers are designed to empower local Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs) and foster regional economic growth. Apart from Pilibhit, which will house 720 centers, and Gorakhpur, with 1,273 centers, the initiative will also reach other states. Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar in Maharashtra will see 870 centers, Chamba in Himachal Pradesh will have 309, and additional centers will be established in locations such as Khammam (Telangana), Gandhinagar (Gujarat), and Puducherry. The government has allocated a budget of ₹31.6 crore for the initial phase, expected to run for six months, with the possibility of an extension to nine months. The DICSC initiative will be implemented and monitored by CSC e-Governance Services India Limited, ensuring effective service delivery through centralized technical oversight. Boosting Digital Access and Economic Growthঃ With an integrated platform offering a range of services, DICSC centers will facilitate Aadhaar registration, banking, financial planning, tele-law, and e-commerce support. GPS-enabled mobile vans will also be deployed to promote government schemes and provide services directly in remote villages. This initiative is projected to create job opportunities, empower rural entrepreneurs, and support local economic development.
